India take on New Zealand in their must win second Group-A match of Men's Hockey World League Final in New Delhi today. <><><>  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today suspended the Janta Darbar, organised to hear people's grievances, following chaos outside the Delhi Secretariat. Talking to reporters after leaving the Secretariat this morning, Kejriwal said, there is a need to make better arrangements to manage the huge crowd. "A large number of people wanted to meet me, and to avoid a stampede like situation, I had to leave the venue. There is a need to improve the arrangements. I appeal everyone to come in a proper queue." The Chief Minister appealed to the people to maintain discipline in the next meeting which is likely to take place on Wednesday. Replying to a question, he said, complaints related to water and electricity were received from people. Our correspondent reports, due to unmanageable crowd, security personnel at the Secretariat were forced to take Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers away from the site. <><><>  The United States has regretted that India felt it necessary to expel an American diplomat after senior diplomat Devyani Khobragade was asked to leave the country following her indictment in a visa fraud case. The State Department spokesman Jen Psaki said in Washington yesterday that this has clearly been a challenging time in the US-India relationship and the US expected that this relationship will not come to a close and India will take significant steps to improve the ties and return to a more constructive place. Earlier in the day yesterday, India expelled a senior American diplomat within hours of Devyani being asked to leave the US. Meanwhile, Devyani has moved a federal court in New York to dismiss the visa fraud case against her. The Indian diplomat said, there is lack of personal jurisdiction since she had been accorded full diplomatic immunity by the US Department of State. Devyani's lawyer said in his motion that even as the US Department of State fully credentialed her as a diplomat assigned to the Permanent Mission of India to the UN, unexpectedly, they have required her immediate departure from the US. Devyani was indicted for visa fraud and making false statements. She flew back to India on Thursday night after she was accorded diplomatic immunity by the State Department and was asked to depart from the US. <><><>  Unearthing a major recruitment scam in the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI, has booked three serving Lieutenant Colonels in connection with the case. CBI sources said in New Delhi, the Army officers have been accused of issuing fake experience certificates to candidates in recruitment to group C and D cadres of the prestigious institute in 2011-2012. The sources added that a regular case was filed by the investigating agency against the trio earlier this week. <><><>  The President Mr. Pranab Mukherjee is reaching Port Blair this afternoon on a 3-day visit to the Andaman and Nicobar islands. "A warm reception and ceremonial guard of honour will be given to the President on his arrival at INS Utkrosh air base at Port Blair. He will then proceed to the National Memorial Cellular Jail and lay wreath at the Martyrs’ column there. In the afternoon, a civic reception will be hosted by the Port Blair Municipal Council in honour of the President at the historic Nethaji Stadium. The Islands administration invited all to attend this grand function. On Sunday morning, the President will inaugurate the newly formed Andaman and Nicobar Tribal Research and Training Institute. A. DHANASEKARAN, AIR NEWS, PORT BLAIR" <><><>  National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, NABARD has reduced refinance rate for banks and other lending agencies by 0.20 per cent to promote rural credit and rural infrastructure. The revised rate of interest on refinance for a period of five years for commercial, state co-operative, regional rural and primary urban co-operative banks will be 9.70 per cent, down from 9.90 per cent. NABARD said in a statement that the new rates will be effective from 7th of this month. It further said, banks drawing refinance of 500 crore rupees and more in a single drawal will be allowed further reduction of 0.10 per cent, making the effective rate 9.60 per cent. However, for state co-operative agriculture and rural development banks (SCRDBs), a 10 basis point reduction is allowed for a single drawal of 200 crore rupees and above. NABARD said, these measures are expected to give a boost to banks for extending investment credit and creation of much-needed warehousing infrastructure for agricultural commodities in the country. <><><>  The Assam and Nagaland police have launched joint operations against the militants at bordering areas in Karbi Anglong district. Karbi Anglong SP, Mugdhya Jyoti Mahanta said that combing operations are on to wipe out militants after the recent violence in the district. He said that so far, security forces have arrested 27 miscreants in Assam in connection with the violence. Both states are also sharing vital information to deal firmly with militants. Meanwhile, night curfew has been lifted at Bokajan sub-division area but patrolling is on to avoid any untoward incident. <><><>  A top insurgent leader of the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura, NLFT has surrendered before the police. The self styled army chief of NLFT, Parashuram Tripura, was carrying a cash award of one lakh rupees over his head and Centre had issued red corner notice through Interpol for his arrest. IG Police Nepal Das said, the insurgent leader surrendered last night along with his wife and three children before Director General of Police, C Balasubramanian. Tripura revealed during preliminary interrogation that the NLFT was faction ridden and suffering from acute fund crunch after shifting hideouts from Bangladesh to Myanmar. <><><>  Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry has asked the US Embassy to withdraw its controversial twitter post on Sri Lanka's conflict with LTTE in 2009. The post shows the US Ambassador Michele Sison and a visiting US official Stephen Rapp standing at the battle site, with a caption that suggested the killing of hundreds of families in army shelling. The US Embassy has, however, refused to back down. Sri Lankan Army has dismissed the allegations. Official sources said, Foreign Minister Prof. GL Peiris is now expected to personally take up the issue with the American Ambassador. <><><>  The interim President of the violence-hit Central African Republic, CAR, Michel Djotodia and Prime Minister Nicolas Tiengaye have resigned. They resigned at a regional summit in Chad, aimed at ending violence that has engulfed the country. Thousands of people took to the streets in CAR's capital, Bangui, most of them celebrating the news. Djotodia, CAR's first Muslim leader, seized power last year. Since then 20 per cent of the population have fled due to fighting between Christian and Muslim militias. The UN has warned of an impending humanitarian disaster. <><><>  The UN Security Council has strongly backed the Iraq Government’s campaign to re-capture the provincial strongholds in Falluza and Ramadi from Al-Qaeda-linked militants. It has condemned the deadly violence in the Anbar province and urged the people of Iraq to stand together in this hour of crisis and continue the national dialogue. More from our West Asia Correspondent: "In a strong statement, the UN Security Council condemned the attacks by militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ISIL and praised the courage of the Iraqi forces in Anbar. The 15 member council expressed its strong support to the efforts of the Iraqi government to ensure the security of its people. It urged the Iraqi tribes, local leaders, and Iraqi security forces in Anbar to continue, expand and strengthen their cooperation against violence and terror. The council also emphasized the importance of continued national dialogue and unity. The statement has come at a time when Iraqi forces are engaged in regaining the control of areas of Ramadi and Falluza which fell in the hands of Al Qaeda linked militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ,ISIL last week. The meeting will be attended by the foreign ministers of the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Qatar among others, as well as the head of the Syria's opposition National Coalition, Ahmad Jarba. The opposition leaders will take a final call on whether to attend the Geneva conference at another meeting in Istanbul on the 17th of this month. न्यायालय ने स्कूलों को नर्सरी में प्रवेश मानकों में अंतरिम राहत देने से इनकार किया। सरकार संसद के आगामी सत्र में भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक विधेयक पारित कराने पर जोर देगी। ईरान ने कहा - अंतरिम परमाणु समझौते को लागू करने के तौर -तरीकों पर विश्व के प्रमुख देशों के साथ समझौता हुआ। वर्ल्ड लीग हॉकी फाइनल्स के पूल-ए के मैच में इंग्लैंड ने भारत को दो शून्य से हराया। ----- एक विधि इंटर्न ने उच्चतम न्यायालय के एक अन्य पूर्व न्यायाधीश पर यौन उत्पीडन का आरोप लगाते हुए न्यायालय से उनके खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग की है। कल देर रात उच्चतम न्यायालय के एक सेवानिवृत्त न्यायाधीश का नाम सामने आया जो इस समय एक न्यायाधिकरण के अध्यक्ष है। शिकायत में कहा गया है कि मई-२०११ में उच्चतम न्यायालय में न्यायाधीश के पद पर रहते हुए उन्होंने अपने कार्यालय में शिकायतकर्ता का यौन उत्पीडन किया था। न्यायाधीश प्रतिक्रिया के लिए उपलब्ध नही थे। उच्चतम न्यायालय ने न्यायमूर्ति ए के गांगुली के मामले में ५ दिसंबर २०१३ के पूर्ण पीठ के संकल्प का हवाला देते हुए मामले की जांच से इंकार करते हुए स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि इस न्यायालय के पूर्व न्यायाधीशों के खिलाफ प्रतिवेदन उच्चतम न्यायालय के प्रशासन में स्वीकार नहीं किए जाएंगे। अपर महाधिवक्ता इंदिरा जयसिंह ने न्यायाधीश के नाम की पुष्टि की है। वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता हरीश साल्वे ने कहा कि उन्होंने इंटर्न की शिकायत देखी है और यह विचलित करने वाली है, क्योंकि यह सेवानिवृत्ति से पहले एक न्यायाधीश के आचरण के बारे में है। ----- दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने सरकारी सहायता नहीं ले रहे मान्यता प्राप्त निजी स्कूलों को अंतरिम राहत देने से इंकार कर दिया है। इन स्कूलों ने नर्सरी प्रवेश के लिए दिशा-निर्देशों संबंधी अधिसूचना खारिज करने की मांग की थी। दिल्ली सरकार और शिक्षा निदेशालय को नोटिस जारी करते हुए न्यायमूर्ति मनमोहन ने कहा कि याचिकाओं पर विस्तार से सुनवाई की जरूरत है और इस पर पहले ही दिन स्थगन आदेश देना संभव नहीं है। अंतिम सुनवाई ११ मार्च को होगी। इस बीच, अदालत ने दिल्ली सरकार और शिक्षा के जेलों में बंद अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय के युवकों के मामलों की समीक्षा करेगी। अल्पसंख्यक का मतलब कोई समुदाय विशेष नहीं बल्कि जो भी इसके दायरे में आते है वे सभी अल्पसंख्यक है, लेकिन अगर वे किसी मामले में शामिल नहीं है। तो उन्हें रिहा कर देना चाहिए। हम एक बार फिर राज्यों को लिख रहे है कि निर्दोष लोगों को तुरन्त रिहा किया जाए। ----- कांग्रेस उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने कहा है कि लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए उनकी पार्टी के उम्मीदवारों का अंतिम निर्णय जल्दी कर लिया जाएगा और टिकट देने के लिए इस बार नया तरीका अपनाया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि सामान्य कार्यकर्ताओं और साफ छवि वाले उम्मीदवारों को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी। व्यवस्था-बी एस ए की अधिकतम राशि बढ़ाकर ५० अरब डॉलर कर दी गई है। इस आशय का समझौता कल भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक और बैंक ऑफ जापान के बीच हुआ। बैंक ऑफ जापान के गवर्नर हारूहीको कुरोदा और रिजर्व बैंक के गवर्नर रघुराम राजन ने समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक की विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया है कि इस समझौते से २०१२ से २०१५ तक, तीन वर्ष के लिए लागू बी एस ए की मौजूदा राशि १५ अरब डॉलर से बढाकर ५० अरब डालर कर दी गई है। बी एस ए का उद्देश्य भारत और जापान के बीच आपसी सहयोग बढ़ाने के लिए अल्पावधिक नकदी की संभावित परेशानियां दूर करने और मौजूदा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वित्तीय समझौतों में सहयोग करना है। यह बी एस ए ३ दिसंबर २०१५ तक लागू रहेगा। ----- जानेमाने बैंकिंग विशेषज्ञ नचिकेत मोर ने कहा है कि  भारत में सभी वयस्कों के लिए २०१६ तक बैंक खाता खोलने का लक्ष्य, आधार संख्या देने के काम में तेजी के साथ आसानी से हासिल किया जा सकता है। श्री मोर ने कल मुंबई में पत्रकारों से कहा कि नंदन निलेकणी की अध्यक्षता में आधार परियोजना के अंतर्गत ५३ करोड़ लोगों को आधार दिया जा चुका है और लगभग तीन करोड़ लोगों को हर महीने देवयानी खोबरागड़े के कल भारत लौटने के बाद अब उन्हें राजनयिक छूट का लाभ नहीं मिलेगा और उनके नाम गिरफ्तारी वारंट जारी किया जा सकता है। अमरीकी विदेश मंत्रालय की प्रवक्ता जेन साकी ने वाशिंगटन में संवाददाताओं को बताया कि रवाना होने से पहले देवयानी और भारत सरकार को बता दिया गया था कि उन्हें भारत लौटने की अनुमति नहीं है और अमरीका चाहता है कि वह अदालत का सम्मान करें। प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि देवयानी का नाम, वीजा और आव्रजन निगरानी प्रणाली में दर्ज कर दिया जाएगा जिससे उन्हें भविष्य में सामान्य रूप से वीजा न मिल सके और उनकी रवानगी पर गिरफ्तारी वारंट जारी किया जा सके। इससे पहले कल, भारत ने नई दिल्ली स्थित अमरीकी दूतावास से देवयानी के स्तर के एक अधिकारी को हटाने को कहा। सरकारी सूत्रों ने बताया कि भारत का सबूतों के आधार पर मानना है कि यह अधिकारी खोबरागड़े मामले और बाद में अमरीका की एकतरफा कार्रवाई में शामिल था। अमरीकी विदेश मंत्रालय की प्रवक्ता जेन साकी ने इसकी पुष्टि की है। मैं इसकी पुष्टि करती हूं कि भारत में तैनात एक अमरीकी अधिकारी भारत सरकार के अनुरोध पर वापिस आएगा। हमें बहुत खेद है कि भारत Late last night, the name of a retired judge of the Supreme Court came to fore, who is currently heading a tribunal. As per the complaint he sexually harassed her in May, 2011 in his office when he was a sitting judge of the apex court. He was not available for any reaction. Additional Solicitor General Indira Jai Singh confirmed the name of the judge and said, the intern has reposed confidence in her. <><><>  The Delhi High Court has declined any interim relief to unaided recognised private schools which have sought quashing of the notification on nursery admission guidelines. Justice Manmohan, while issuing notices to Delhi Government and Directorate of Education (DoE), said the petitions required detailed hearing and it cannot be stayed on the first day. Terming the Delhi government's notification as arbitrary, senior advocate N K Kaul, appearing for Action Committee for Unaided Recognised Private Schools, said that at least for the time being the operation of the notification be stayed. The court, however, refused to stay the notification and fixed the matter for final hearing on March 11. Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said the  High Court decision will provide a great relief to the parents of the children. He said his government would now launch a helpline for registering nursery admission complaints. <><><>  The government will push six anti-graft framework bills during the Parliament session starting next month to pass vote on account.  Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde yesterday said that the decision in this regard  was taken at the Core Group meeting of the Congress party held in New Delhi. The bills likely to be pushed during the session include Public Procurement Bill, the Prevention of Corruption Act (Amendment) Bill, the Prevention of Bribery of Foreign Public Officials and Officials of Public International Organisations Bill and the Whistleblowers Protection Bill. The Centre has asked all state Chief Ministers to be careful while arresting youth from minority communities. Replying to a question during his monthly press conference yesterday , Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said that he has  written to all the  Chief Ministers to release the innocent people immediately who are languishing in jail without trial. Minority does not mean one particular community but all those who are concerned they are minority. But action will have to be taken if they are not involved. They should be released . We are again writing to all Chief Ministers that those who are not involved, they should be freed immediately. <><><>   Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has said that the party's tickets for the Lok Sabha poll  will be finalized early and  new procedures will  be used for it. He said ordinary workers and those having a clean image  will be preferred. He was talking to reporters before chairing a meeting of the heads of  Congress Screening Committee for the forthcoming general elections at party headquarters in the national capital. The information will be available  on website-  delhisldc.org.  Briefing reporters , Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that his government has also started a SMS line 9223166166 on which people can lodge the complaints pertaining to unscheduled power cuts in  their concerned areas. <><><>  Delhi Chief Minister along with his entire cabinet will sit tomorrow in front of Delhi Secretariat to hear the complaints of the people and try to redress them immediately. The Janta Darbar is scheduled to start at 9.30 AM and will continue till 11.30 AM but it can be extended depending on the number of complaints. <><><>  In Uttar Pradesh, reacting to the media criticism for the Saifai Mahotsav extravagance in the backdrop of Muzaffarnagar riots, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has criticised media. He accused a section of media for disparaging his government and maligning his image, as the part of a political conspiracy. Addressing a press conference in Lucknow yesterday, Mr. Yadav said that, contrary to the reported expenditure of 300 crores rupees in the press, only seven to eight crore were spent on Safai Mahotsav. <><><>  The US has said that Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade, who returned to New Delhi last night after indictment in the visa fraud case in Washington, no longer enjoys immunity and an arrest warrant may be issued against her. While talking to reporters at Indira Gandhi International Airport  she thanked the nation for its support. I just want to thank my nation for the support that they have given me. The State Department spokesperson, Jen Psaki, told reporters in Washington that prior to her departure, it was conveyed to Devyani and to the government of India that she is not permitted to return to New Delhi and the US expect to submit to the jurisdiction of the court. Psaki said Devyani name will be placed in visa and immigration lookout systems to prevent the routine issuance of any future visa and upon her departure a warrant may be issued for her arrest. I can confirm that the US officials  accredited to the mission India will be leaving post at the request of the government of India. We deeply regret that the Indian Government felt it was necessary to expel one of our diplomatic personnel. We expect and hope this one now come to closer and Indians will now take significant steps with us to improve our relationship and return it to more constructive place. Earlier yesterday, India asked the US Embassy in New Delhi to withdraw an officer of a rank similar to that of Devyani. Government sources said India has reason to believe that this officer was involved in processes relating to the Khobragade case and subsequent unilateral action by US. <><><>  Iran has said that an agreement has been arrived at with the world powers on ways and means to implement the interim nuclear deal. Iran’s deputy chief nuclear negotiator said in Geneva that the talks with world powers have ended with solutions on all points of disagreement over Teheran’s nuclear program. More from our west Asia correspondent. The negotiators from Iran, European Union and USA met in Geneva over the past two days to figure out how to implement the interim nuclear deal. After the meeting, Iran’s deputy chief nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi  said differences on all outstanding issues have been resolved and an announcement regarding the agreement will be made in the next few days after being ratified by Iran and the six world powers. Negotiators had earlier stated that they want to implement the deal by January 20. Under the deal, Iran would scale down parts of its nuclear program in exchange for a partial relief from sanctions and no new sanctions over a six month period. The agreement was signed by BOJ Governor Haruhiko Kuroda and RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and came into force from yesterday. The Reserve Bank of India said in a statement said that with this agreement, the current BSA, effective for 3 years from 2012 to 2015, is expanded from the original size of 15 billion dollars. <><><>  In Himachal Pradesh, the severe cold wave has further tightened its grip as higher reaches continues to experience snowfall.     नुहियांवाली के राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय में चल रहे सात दिवसीय एनएसएस कैंप में छठे दिन स्वयंसेवकों ने पेड़ पौधों, ब्लैक बोर्डों व मंच को सफेदी करने का कार्य किया। आज के मुख्यातिथि करनैल सिंहमार शाखा प्रबंधक सर्व हरियाणा ग्रामीण बैंक ओढां ने स्वयंयेवकों को बैंकों के प्रकार, बैंकिंग प्रणाली, बैंकों का राष्ट्र में योगदान तथा बचत के बारे में बताया। इसके साथ साथ उन्होंने नैतिक शिक्षा पर अपने विचार रखते हुए कहा कि विद्यार्थी में नैतिक गुण होने चाहिए क्योंकि नैतिक गुणों के आधार पर वे सफलता प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। पेड़ पौधों के महत्व के बारे में बालते हुए प्राध्यापक पवन देमीवाल ने कहा कि पेड़ों का हमारे जीवन में बड़ा महत्व है क्योंकि पेड़ पर्यावरण को संतुलित रखते हैं तथा वर्षा में सहायक हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें अपना जन्मदिन एक पौधा लगाकर मनाना चाहिए तथा पौधे का पालन पोषण एक बच्चे की तरह करना चाहिए। कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में गणपत राम, हरपाल सिंह, बूटा सिंह, राजकुमार, पवन देमीवाल, माडूराम, हनुमान परिहार सहित अन्य स्टाफ सदस्यों ने सहयोग दिया।

यातायात के नियमों की जानकारी दी

    सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह के दौरान पुलिस अधीक्षक सिरसा के निर्देशानुसार शनिवार को ओढ़ां थाना के इंचार्ज इंस्पैक्टर अमरनाथ ने यातायात संबंधी नियमों के बारे में जागरूकता लाने के उद्देश्य से बस स्टेंड ओढ़ां पर उपस्थित टैक्सी चालकों व ग्रामीणों को यातायात के नियमों के बारे में विस्तारपूर्वक जानकारी दी।
्    इस अवसर पर उन्होंने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि विश्व में प्रतिवर्ष 13 लाख लोग सड़क दुघर्टनाओं में मारे जाते हैं जिनमें से नब्बे प्रतिशत हादसे भारत जैसे विकासशील देशों में होते हैं। भारत में होने वाली सड़क दुघर्टनाओं में हर घंटे 15 व्यक्ति मौत का शिकार हो रहे हैं जिनमें से 85 प्रतिशत लोग परिवार के मुखिया होते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि ज्यादातर दुघर्टनाएं चालकों की लापरवाही व नियमों का पालन न करने के परिणाम स्वरूप होती हैं। ज्यादातर चालक शराब का सेवन करने, जल्दबाजी, मोबाइल का प्रयोग करने, गतिसीमा को तोडऩे, तेजगति से ओवरटेक करने और वाहनों पर ओवरलोड आदि कारणों से दुघर्टनाओं को अंजाम देते हैं इसलिए वाहन चालकों को चाहिए कि वे यातायात के नियमों के बारे में जानकारी लेकर नियमों का पालन करें।
    इस अवसर पर उन्होंने वाहन चालकों को यातायात संकेतों, सूचकों, सड़क चिन्हों के बारे में पूरी जानकारी होनी चाहिए ताकि दुघर्टनाओं से बचा जा सके। इस मौके पर चालक बलदेव सिंह, काका सिंह, कालूराम, निर्मल सिंह, काला सिंह, जगसीर सिंह, बिंद्र सिंह, भोला सिंह सहित अनेक गांववासी मौजूद थे।


श्रीराम ने शबरी के झूठे बेर खाकर जाति पाति का बंधन तोड़ा : जयदेव दाधीच

    गांव बनवाला में चल रही श्रीमद्भागवत कथा में चौथे दिन शनिवार को कथावाचक शास्त्री जयदेव दाधीच ने 24 अवतारों में से भगवान श्रीराम को वर्णनीय अवतार बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम श्रीराम ने पिता की आज्ञा मानते हुए 14 वर्ष का वनवास भोगा और अपने माता पिता की सेवा करते हुए एक आदर्श जीवन बिताकर संसार को संदेश दिया कि आदर्श जीवन कैसे जीएं। भगवान श्रीराम ने पापियों का नाश किया तथा अहिल्या का उद्धार किया। उन्होंने शबरी के झूठे बेर खाकर जाति पाति के बंधन को तोड़ा। शास्त्री जयदेव दाधीच ने एक भजन ना सोना काम आएगा ना चांदी काम आएगी, भज ले प्रभू को ये कहानी याद आएगी गाते हुए श्रीराम के चरित्र का विस्तारपूर्वक वर्णन किया। इस मौके पर प्रेम कुमार, मोहन लाल, सुभाष, कृष्णा, सुमित्रा, सरोज, सुमन और शकुंतला सहित अनेक श्रद्धालु ग्रामीण मौजूद थे।


कोस्को क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता 15 जनवरी से

    गांव रत्ताखेड़ा में अनाज मंडी के निकट स्थित मैदान में 15 जनवरी को कोस्को क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता करवाई जा रही है। जानकरी देते हुए प्रवक्ता जगदीश कुलरिया ने बताया कि प्रतियोगिता का उद्घाटन गांव कालूआना के सरपंच ज्रदेव सिंह करेंगे। प्रथम स्थान पर आने वाली टीम को 11 हजार रुपये तथा द्वितीय स्थान प्राप्त करने वाली टीम को 71 सौ रुपये का इनाम ट्राफी के साथ दिया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि यह प्रतियोगिता गांव के युवा क्रिकेट प्रेमी अजय कुमार बलिहारा अपनी ओर से करवा रहे हैं।

लायंस क्लब द्वारा  6 जनवरी से 12 जनवरी तक सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह मनाया जा रहा है

        सड़क सुरक्षा के प्रति आमजन को जागरुक करने के लिए जिला की समाज सेवी संस्था लायंस क्लब द्वारा  6 जनवरी से 12 जनवरी तक सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह मनाया जा रहा है। सड़क सुरक्षा  के तहत स्थानीय टाऊन पार्क से एक सड़क सुरक्षा रैली निकाली गई। इस रैली को उपायुक्त डा जे गणेसन द्वारा हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया गया। यह रैली स्थानीय टॉऊन पार्क से  होती हुई सुरखाब चौंक, परशुराम चौंक, रोड़ी गेट, सरकलूर रोड से होती हुई टाऊन पार्क  वापिस आएगी। इस रैली  के दौरान स्कॉऊट के ग्रुप के बच्चों द्वारा विभिन्न स्लोगन  हेलमेट लगाओं सुरक्षित रहो, शराब पीकर गाड़ी न चलाओं, खून सड़को को नहीे देश को चाहिए,  आपकी सुरक्षा आपके हाथ में, जैसे विभिन्न स्लोगन लेकर बाजारों से गुजरे तथा गाडियों पर रिफलैक्टर लगाए गए।

    इससे पूर्व आमजन व स्कूली बच्चो को सम्बोधित करते हुए उपायुक्त डा जे गणेसन ने कहा कि सड़क दुर्घटनाओं को रोकने एवं आमजन में को सड़क सुरक्षा नियमों की जानकारी देने के उद्देश्य से जिला में आज 11 जनवरी से 17 जनवरी तक 25 वां सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह मनाया जाएगा। इस बार सड़क सुरक्षा एक विशेष थीम के आधार पर मनाया जाएगा। सप्ताह को जब सड़क पर हो तो पहले आप नामक थीम दिया गया है।   उन्होंने बताया कि सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह के दौरान जिला में प्रतिदिन सड़क सुरक्षा से सम्बंधित विभिन्न प्रकार के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे। जिनमें स्कूली बच्चो की रैली, क्विज कम्पीटिशन, भाषण प्रतियोगिता व अन्य प्रकार के कार्यक्रम आयोजित होंगे। सप्ताह में एक दिन स्कूली बच्चों की जिला स्तरीय क्विज कम्पीटिशन भी होगा, जिसमें बच्चो को आकर्षित ईनाम भी दिए जाएंगे। इस क्विज प्रतियोगिता में सड़क सुरक्षा से सम्बंधित प्रश्न ही रखे जाएंगे।  कल 12 जनवरी को स्थानीय ट्रेफिक पार्क से तेज चाल प्रतियोगिता  का आयोजन किया जाएगा।
    उन्होंने बताया कि बच्चो की सुरक्षा को देखते हुए स्कूल वाहनों की भी जांच की जाएगी । उन्होंने बताया कि इस सप्ताह के दौरान सभी बस चालको की आख्ंाो की जांच भी करवाई जाएगी। पूर्व की भान्ति इस वर्ष भी उपमण्डल स्तर पर वाहन चालकों का प्रशिक्षण व पासिंग की जाएगी। स्कूल बसों की निरीक्षण के लिए जगह भी सुनिश्चत की गई है सिरसा में आगामी 15 जनवरी का सावन स्कूल के सामने दशहरा ग्रॉंऊड में, ऐलनाबाद में नचिकेतन स्कूल में 16 जनवरी को और डबवाली में खालसा स्कूल में 17 जनवरी को स्कूल वाहनों का निरीक्षण किया जाएगा।  उन्होंने बताया कि रोडवेज बस के चालको व परिचालको की भी आंखो की जांच करवाई जाएगी।
    इस अवसर पर पुलिस अधीक्षक श्री सौरभ सिंह ने आमजन से अपील की कि वे बिना हेलमेट के गाडी न चलाए और ओवर टेक से बचे।  उन्होंने अभिभावको से कहा कि वे अपने 18 वर्ष के कम आयु के बच्चो को वाहन न चलाने दें। उन्होंने कहा कि सड़क दुर्घटना को रोकने के लिए कोई अलग सूत्र नहीं होता है बल्कि इसके लिए अगर हम खुद यातायात नियमों  का पालन करे तो दुर्घटनाओं से बचा  जा सकता है।  उन्होंने बताया कि सड़क सुरक्षा को लेकर पुलिस प्रशासन द्वारा जिले के स्कूल व कॉलेजों में दो लाख यातायात के नियमो की पुस्तके बांटी गई ताकि बच्चो यातायात के नियमो के बारे में जान सके। उन्होंने कहा कि सड़क सुरक्षा सप्ताह के दौरान और  आगे भी सड़क दुर्घटना को नियंत्रण करने के लिए सड़क सुरक्षा संगठन एवं अन्य सामाजिक संस्थाओं का सहयोग लिया जाएगा। पब्लिक यातायात वाहनों पर रिफलैक्टर व अन्य प्रकार के संकेतक भी लगाए गए और वाहन चालकों को अपने वाहनों पर लगाने के लिए बंाटे जा रहे है।  उन्होंने बताया कि ट्रैफिक लाईट लगाने से सम्बन्धित जगहों का भी चयन किया जा रहा है। स्पीडब्रेकर, मोड़, पुल, डाइवर्जन व निर्माण कार्य चल रहे स्थानों से पूर्व चेतावनी नोटिस भी लगाए जाएंगे। राष्ट्रीय व राज्य मार्गो पर बने अनाधिकृत कटों को भी बंद किया जाएगा। जिन कटों पर दुर्घटना होने की संभावना बनी रहती है।
    इस अवसर पर उपमंडलाधिकारी (ना)श्री संत लाल पचार, क्षेत्रीय परिवहन ्र प्राधिकरण के सचिव श्री अमरजीत सिंह,  महाप्रबंधक रोडवेज श्री लेखराज, लायंस क्लब के सदस्य लायंस गुरदीप कामरा, लायन पुनीत बांसल , लायन सतीश जग्गा, विपिन अरोड़ा, शेखर मैहता  तथा स्कूली व स्काउट्ट के बच्चे व अन्य लोग उपस्थित थे।  इस मौके पर  उपायुक्त डा जे गणेसन व पुलिस अधीक्षक द्वारा एक वाहन पर रिफलैक्टर भी लगाया गया ।
