कुख्यात आतंकवादी अलकायदा सरगना ओसामा बिन लादेन पाकिस्तान में अमरीकी कार्रवाई में मारा गया है। वह पाकिस्तान की राजधानी इस्लामाबाद से डेढ़ सौ किलोमीटर उत्तर में एबटाबाद में एक मकान में मारा गया। अमरीकी अधिकारियों ने उसका शव बरामद कर लिया है। अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने वाशिंगटन में आज सुबह ये घोषणा की।आज मेरे निर्देश पर अमरीका ने पाकिस्तान के एबौटाबाद में उस कम्पाउंड में एक अभियान चलाया। अमरीकियों की एक छोटी सी टीम ने अदम्य साहस और क्षमता के साथ अभियान को अंजाम दिया। कोई अमरीकी घायल नहीं हुआ। उन्होंने यह भी ध्यान रखा कि कोई नागरिक भी हताहत न हो। गोलीबारी के बाद उन्होंने ओसामा बिन लादेन को मार दिया और उसके शव को कब्जे में ले लिया।
राष्ट्रपति ओबामा ने टेलीविजन पर प्रसारित अपने भाषण में पाकिस्तान से आग्रह किया कि वह आतंक से संघर्ष में सहयोग दे। उनका कहना था कि भविष्य में ये जरूरी है कि पाकिस्तान अलकायदा और उसके साथियों से संघर्ष में अमरीका का साथ देता रहे। अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि उन्होंने कई बार स्पष्ट कर दिया था कि अगर अमरीका को पता चला कि बिन लादेन कहां है, तो वह पाकिस्तान के भीतर घुसकर कार्रवाई करेगा। राष्ट्रपति ओबामा ने कहा कि अमरीका ने ऐसा ही किया है, लेकिन महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि आतंक विरोधी कार्रवाई में पाकिस्तान के सहयोग से ही वे बिन लादेन और उस मकान तक पहुंचे, जहां वह छिपा हुआ था। उन्होंने कहा कि बिन लादेन ने पाकिस्तान के साथ भी युद्ध छेड़ रखा था और पाकिस्तानी लोगों पर हमले करवाता था। श्री ओबामा ने बताया कि उन्होंने पाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति आसिफ अली जरदारी से बात की है और उनके अधिकारियों ने पाकिस्तानी अधिकारियों से सम्पर्क किया है। अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि ये दोनों देशों के लिए सुखद और ऐतिहासिक दिन है।
इस बेहद गोपनीय कार्रवाई की सूचना अमरीका ने पाकिस्तान को भी नहीं दी थी। अमरीकी प्रशासन के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने बताया कि इस तरह की कार्रवाई की सूचना गिने-चुने लोगों के पास ही रहती है और इस मामले में भी ऐसा ही किया गया, इसलिए पाकिस्तान सहित किसी देश को इस बारे में नहीं बताया गया था। अधिकारी ने व्हाइट हाउस में संवाददाताओं को बताया कि चालीस मिनट की ये सफल कार्रवाई दो अमरीकी हैलीकॉप्टरों से की गई। इसमें ओसामा बिन लादेन के अलावा तीन पुरूष और एक महिला भी मारी गई। मशीनी खराबी के कारण एक हैलीकॉप्टर नष्ट हो गया, लेकिन अमरीकी स्पेशल फोर्स का कोई सदस्य हताहत नहीं हुआ।
इस अधिकारी का कहना था कि इस बात की छानबीन की जाएगी कि ओसामा बिन लादेन पाकिस्तान की राजधानी के इतने करीब ऐसे मोहल्ले में कैसे रह रहा था, जहां सेना के बड़े बड़े सेवानिवृत अधिकारी रहते हैं।
१९५७ में जन्मा ओसामा सउदी अरब के एक रईस का बेटा था। उसने अलकायदा का आतंकी नेटवर्क स्थापित किया और उसके लिए धन भी जुटाया। उस पर ११ सितम्बर २००१ में न्यूयॉर्क के विश्व ट्रेड सैंटर और वाशिंगटन में हमलों सहित कई आतंकवादी गतिविधियों में शामिल होने का आरोप है। १९९८ में अफ्रीका में अमरीका के दो दूतावासों और अक्टूबर २००० में यमन के अदन बंदरगाह पर अमरीकी जहाज यूएसएस कौल पर हमले में भी ओसामा का हाथ होने का संदेह है।
सउदी अरब से निकाला गया ओसामा बिन लादेन तालिबान शासन के दौरान अफगानिस्तान में छिपा रहा, लेकिन अमरीकी नेतृत्व में वहां तालिबान का तख्ता पलटे जाने के बाद से इधर उधर भागा फिर रहा था।

ओसामा बिन लादेन के मारे जाने का दुनिया के अनेक नेताओं ने स्वागत किया है।अफगानिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति हामिद करजई ने कहा है कि पाकिस्तान में ओसामा के मारे जाने से साबित हो गया है कि आतंकवाद से संघर्ष का केन्द्र अफगानिस्तान में नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि ये जंग अफगानिस्तान के गांवों और कस्बों में नहीं लड़ी जानी चाहिए, बल्कि आतंकवादियों के छिपने के ठिकानों को निशाना बनाया जाना चाहिए। अफगानिस्तान सरकार बहुत पहले से कहती रही है कि ओसामा अफगानिस्तान में नहीं है और पाकिस्तान चला गया है। श्री करजई ने देश के टेलीविजन पर ओसामा के मारे जाने को महत्वपूर्ण खबर बताते हुए तालिबान से आग्रह किया कि वह लड़ाई बंद कर दे। उनका कहना था कि तालिबान को इससे सबक लेना चाहिए। लेकिन बहुत से लोगों का मानना है कि इस घटना का अफगानिस्तान में सुरक्षा की स्थिति पर कोई खास असर नहीं पड़ेगा। पाकिस्तान में अफगान राजदूत उमर दाउदजई का कहना है कि इससे शायद हिंसा खत्म न हो, क्योंकि अलकायदा के कई छोटे छोटे गुट हैं। पाकिस्तान में तालिबान के दूत रह चुके अब्दुल सलाम जइफ का भी कहना है कि इससे अफगानिस्तान में संघर्ष पर असर नहीं पड़ेगा और ये साबित हो गया है कि ओसामा अफगानिस्तान में नहीं था, इसलिए वहां अमरीकी उपस्थिति अनुचित है।
ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री डेविड कैमरून ने ओसामा के मारे जाने का स्वागत किया है।
मैं अमरीकी सेना को बधाई देना चाहूंगा जिन्होंने बहादुरी का ये काम किया हैं। हमें उन सभी लोगों को धन्यवाद देना चाहिए जिन्होंने बिना किसी पहचान के दिन-रात मेहनत की ताकि हम आतंक के खतरे से सुरक्षित रह सके। बेशक कोई भी चीज उन परिवारों के लोगो को वापस नहीं ला सकती जो आतंक का शिकार हुए ,लेकिन कम से कम उन्हें यें तसल्ली होगी कि इसके लिए जिम्मेदार व्यक्ति अब जिंदा नहीें हैं।
फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति निकोला सरकोजी ने ओसामा के पीछे लगे रहने के लिए अमरीका की तारीफ करते हुए उसकी मौत को आतंकवाद से संघर्ष में एक महत्वपूर्ण पड़ाव बताया है।

श्री सिब्बल ने बताया कि समाज के प्रतिनिधियों ने उन उद्देश्यों और आम सिद्धान्तों के बारे में दो दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत किये, जिन पर ये कानून आधारित होगा। श्री सिब्बल ने कहा कि दोनों पक्षों ने एक दूसरे के विचारों पर गौर करने का फैसला किया।

पर्यावरण मंत्रालय ने ओड़िशा सरकार को पास्को परियोजना के लिए एक हजार २५३ हैक्टेयर वन भूमि देने की अंतिम मंजूरी दे दी है। हमारे संवाददाता ने सरकारी सूत्रों के हवाले से खबर दी है कि मंत्रालय ने गोबिन्दपुर गांव की विवादित जमीन इस्पात कंपनी को देने के लिए राज्य सरकार को मंजूरी दे दी है। इस फैसले से लगता है कि पारादीप के निकट इस प्रस्तावित इस्पात परियोजना के लिए पास्को इंडिया के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन का नवीकरण करने का रास्ता खुल जाएगा। पास्को इंडिया ने २२ जून, २००५ को ओडिशा सरकार के साथ पांच वर्ष के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किये थे।---------
उच्चतम न्यायालय ने नई दिल्ली में १९९७ में दो व्यापारियों के फर्जी मुठभेड़ में मारे जाने के मामले में दिल्ली पुलिस के एक सहायक पुलिस उपायुक्त सहित दस पुलिस कर्मियों को दोषी करार देने और उनकी उम्र कैद की सजा को सही ठहराया है। न्यायमूर्ति एच एस बेदी और न्यायमूर्ति सी के प्रसाद की पीठ ने दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय के फैसले के खिलाफ उच्चतम न्यायालय में पुलिस अधिकारियों की अपील खारिज कर दी। दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने १८ सितम्बर २००९ को कनॉट प्लेस में हरियाणा के दो व्यापारियों को गलत पहचान के कारण मारे जाने के लिए सहायक पुलिस उपायुक्त एस एस राठी सहित १० पुलिसकर्मियों को आजीवन कारावास की सजा को सही ठहराया था। मुठभेड़ विशेषज्ञ राठी के नेतृत्व में दिल्ली पुलिस अपराध शाखा के दल ने ३१ मार्च १९९७ में कन्नाट प्लेस में इन व्यापारियों को उत्तरप्रदेश के वांछित अपराधी समझकर उनकी कार पर धुआंधार गोलीबारी की, जिसमें वे मारे गये।---------
एयर इंडिया के पायलटों की हड़ताल आज छटे दिन भी जारी रहने से एयरइंडिया की करीब ९० फीसदी घरेलू उड़ानें रद्द कर दी गई। सरकारी सूत्रों ने आज नई दिल्ली में बताया कि एयरइंडिया प्रबन्धन द्वारा हड़ताली पायलटों को बातचीत के लिए बुलाने की अपील के बावजूद उनकी ओर से अभी तक कोई जवाब नहीं मिला है। एयरइंडिया ने कल आन्दोलनकारी पायलटों से एस एम एस के जरिये बातचीत के लिए आने की अपील की थी। एयरइंडिया के अध्यक्ष और प्रबन्ध निदेशक अरविन्द जाधव ने अपने एस एम एस में कहा है कि पायलट यूनियन द्वारा लगाये गये भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों की जांच की जायेगी। पायलटों ने कहा है कि उनकी सारी मांगें निश्चित समयसीमा में पूरी किये जाने के आश्वासन के बाद ही वे बातचीत के लिए तैयार हो सकते हैं।इस बीच, एयरइंडिया की ३२० दैनिक उड़ानों में से केवल ४० उड़ानें ही चलेंगी।

आठ भारतीय नाविक सात महीनों तक समुद्री लुटेरों के कब्जे में रहने के बाद घर लौट गए हैं। समुद्री लुटेरों ने १५ अप्रैल को एमवी एस्फहॉल्ट वैंचर जहाज और उसके कप्तान रमेश सिहं सहित चालक दल के आठ सदस्यों को मुक्त कर दिया था। इस जहाज का पिछले वर्ष सितम्बर में तंजानिया में दार-ए-सलाम से करीब एक सौ समुद्री मील दक्षिण पूर्व में अपहरण कर लिया गया था। चालक दल के सात सदस्य अब भी सोमाली समुद्री लुटेरों के कब्जे में हैं। हालांकि जहाज मालिकों ने उन्हें फिरौती की रकम का भुगतान कर दिया है। नौसेना के सूत्रों के हवाले से हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि इन नाविकों की रिहाई के लिए बातचीत चल रही है। पिछले दो वर्षो में विभिन्न देशों के जहाजों का अदन की खाड़ी के निकट सोमाली लुटेरों द्वारा अपहरण किये जाने की कई घटनाएं हुई हैं और इस समस्या को हल करने के लिए एक ठोस अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रयास किये जाने की जरूरत है।---------
वर्ष २०१०-११ में देश का निर्यात ३७ दशमलव पांच पांच प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी के साथ २४५ अरब ८६ करोड़ डॉलर तक पहुंच गया। सरकारी विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया है कि भारतीय वस्तुओं की मांग न केवल पश्चिमी देशों में बल्कि लेटिन अमरीकी और अफ्रीकी देशों के बाजारों में बढ़ी है। नई दिल्ली में आज जारी आंकड़ों के अनुसार पिछले वित्त वर्ष में तीन खरब पचास अरब ६९ करोड़ डॉलर का आयात हुआ। भारत ने कुल मिलाकर छह खरब डॉलर का व्यापार किया जो १२ खरब डॉलर के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद का आधा है। वर्ष २०१३-१४ तक भारत का निर्यात लक्ष्य चार सौ पचास अरब डालर रखा गया है। वाणिज्य मंत्री आनंद शर्मा ने हाल में नई दिल्ली में कहा था कि २०१३-१४ तक निर्यात को करीब दोगुना करने की नीति की जल्दी ही घोषणा की जायेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि चालू वित्त वर्ष के लिए कोई लक्ष्य तय नहीं किया गया है लेकिन सरकार निर्यात को बढ़ावा देने की अपनी कोशिश जारी रखेगी।---------
देश में आवश्यक वस्तुओं और ईधन की कीमतों तथा शिक्षा खर्च में जबर्दस्त बढ़ोतरी से महानगरों में एक औसत कर्मचारी की पारिवारिक बचत दर पिछले छह वर्षों में ४५ प्रतिशत घट गई है। वाणिज्य और उद्योग परिसंघ एसोचैम के सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार आम आदमी का वेतन तीस प्रतिशत बढ़ा है लेकिन पिछले छह वर्षों में अपने इच्छानुसार खर्चों में उसे ३५ प्रतिशत की कमी करनी पड़ी है। सर्वेक्षण में शामिल करीब ७० प्रतिशत लोगों का कहना था कि खर्च के मुताबिक वेतन वृद्धि नहीं हुई।इस बीच, भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक कल वर्ष २०११-१२ के लिए अपनी वार्षिक ऋण नीति की घोषणा करेगा।

जम्मू कश्मीर में उधमपुर के निकट जम्मू-श्रीनगर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर आज सुबह एक शक्तिशाली विस्फोट में एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई और दस लोग घायल हो गये, जिनमें तीन की हालत गम्भीर है। यह विस्फोट एक वाहन में हुआ, जिसमें कुछ विस्फोटक सामग्री रखी हुई थी। समझा जाता है कि यह आर डी एक्स था। हमारे उधमपुर संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि विस्फोट के बाद तीन सौ किलोमीटर लम्बे जम्मू-श्रीनगर राजमार्ग पर वाहनों की आवाजाही तुरन्त रोक दी गई, लेकिन बाद में फिर शुरू कर दी गई है।उधर पुंछ जिले में कल रात लश्करे तैयबा के दो आतंकवादियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया और उनके कब्जे से कुछ गोलाबारूद और विस्फोटक सामग्री बरामद की गई।

The World's most wanted terrorist and Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has been killed in a US operation in Pakistan. An announcement to this effect was made this morning by US President Barack Obama in Washington. Bin Laden was killed in a mansion at Abbottabad, 150 kilometers north of Capital Islamabad. His body has been recovered by American authorities in Pakistan. US President Barack Obama who made the announcement said, Osama Bin Laden was killed in an US Operation.
The US did not inform Pakistan about the closely guarded operation on the outskirts of Islamabad today that resulted in the death of al Qaeda mastermind Osama bin Laden. A senior US administration official said, the information was not shared with any other country including Pakistan, adding that in such a kind of operation, the information is kept only to a few people and that was done in this case. The official told White House correspondents that the successful 40-minute operation was carried out by two US helicopters. Besides, Osama bin Laden, three men and one woman were killed in this operation. Announcing the death of bin Laden, President Barack Obama asked Pakistan to co-operate with the US in the war against terror. In his live televised speech, Mr. Obama said, it is essential that Pakistan continue to join the US in the fight against al Qaeda and its affiliates. Mr. Obama said Over the years, he had repeatedly made clear that the US would take action within Pakistan if they knew where bin Laden was. US President said that it is what they have done. But it’s important to note that their counter-terrorism cooperation with Pakistan helped lead them to bin Laden and the compound where he was hiding. Mr. Obama said, bin Laden had declared war against Pakistan as well, and had attacks against the Pakistani people. He said, he called Pakistan President Zardari, and his team has also spoken with their Pakistani counterpart. Obama said, they agree that this is a good and historic day for both of their nations.
A senior US administration official said they would investigate as to how Osama bin Laden was living so close to Pakistan’s capital that too in a neighbourhood which was normally a residence of top retired military officials. British Prime Minister David Cameron congratulated US force on the killing.
Osama Bin Laden was the son of Saudi Arabia's wealthiest construction magnate born in 1957. He created and funded the al Qaeda terror network, was accused of being behind a number of atrocities, including the attacks on New Yorks World Trade Centre and Washington on 11 September 2001. Osama was suspected of playing large roles in the 1998 bombings of two US Embassies in Africa and the attack on the USS Cole in the Yemeni port of Aden in October 2000. The Saudi exile had been on the run since the US-led invasion of Afghanistan overthrew the ruling Taliban regime, which harboured bin Laden.
Afghanistan President Mr. Hamid Karzai has said that the killing of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan is proof that the war on terror is not in Afghanistan. Mr. Karzai said the war should not be fought in villages and towns of Afghanistan rather, terrorist safe havens should be the target. Afghan government had long maintained that Osama is not in Afghanistan and has shifted its base to neighbouring areas of Pakistan.

Terming Al-Qaeda mastermind Osama bin Laden's killing as a victorious milestone in the global war against terrorism, India today called upon the world not to let down its united effort to eliminate the safe havens of terrorism. Such heavens have been provided to the terrorists in India's neighborhood. In a statement issued in New Delhi the external affairs minister Mr. S M Krishna said that this operation brings to closure an almost decade-long search for the head of the al Qaeda. Noting the development as a historic and victorious milestone, Mr. Krishna said that over the years, thousands of innocent lives of men, women and children have been tragically lost at the hands of terrorist groups.
In a separate statement the Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambarm said, that the killing of Osama bin Laden underlines New Delhi's apprehension that terrorists belonging to different organizations find sanctuary in Pakistan. The Minister said the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks, including the controllers and handlers of the terrorists, continue to be sheltered in Pakistan. He called upon the Pakistan government to arrest the persons whose names have been handed over to the Interior Minister of Pakistan as well as to provide voice samples of certain persons who are suspected to be among the controllers and handlers of the terrorists.

In New Delhi, security was strengthened around the US Embassy and nearby areas in the diplomatic enclave of Chanakya puri. A senior police official said, additional police personnel have been deployed and patrolling intensified around the US Embassy after the incident.

The United States today issued a worldwide travel alert for its citizens, especially those living in Pakistan, soon after President Barack Obama's announcement that Osama bin-Laden has been killed. US citizens travelling and residing abroad have been alerted to the enhanced potential for anti-American violence given the recent counter-terrorism activity in Pakistan.

The Government today asserted that broad contours of the Lokpal bill will be finalised by 30th of next month. Speaking to reporters after the second meeting of the Joint Drafting committee in New Delhi today Union Minister Kapil Sibal reiterated the government's commitment to bring in a strong Lokpal Bill to deal with the menace of corruption. He described the meeting as conducive and said that the bill will be introduced in the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
He said civil society members presented two documents about the objectives and general principle on which law has to be based. Mr. Sibal added that both sides decided to take into account and reflect on each others points of view.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the civil society representative and noted Lawyer Prashant Bhushan said that it was decided to increase the frequency of meetings. The next meeting is scheduled on Saturday. He said in today's meeting objectives and principles of the draft Lokpal Bill were discussed , keeping in view the provisions of United Nations conventions against corruption.

The Environment Ministry today granted final approval to the Odisha Government for diversion of 1,253 hectares of forest land for Posco project. Our correspondent quoting official sources said that ministry has given the nod to the state government to transfer the disputed land of Govindpur village to the steel giant. With this decision the decks seem to be clear for the renewal of Memorandum of Understanding with Posco India for its 12 million tonne per annum greenfield steel project proposed near Paradip. Posco India had entered into a MoU with the Odisha government on June 22, 2005 for a period of five years. The renewal of MoU with Posco India had hit a roadblock, ostensibly due to the South Korean steel firm's reservations over the mandatory implementation of the employment clause introduced by the state government for all industries.

The Supreme Court today upheld the conviction and life sentence of ten Delhi Police officials including an Assistant Police Commissioner for killing two businessmen in a fake encounter in 1997 in New Delhi. A bench of justices H S Bedi and C K Prasad dismissed the appeal filed by the police officials who had approached the apex court against the verdict of the Delhi High Court. The high court had on September 18, 2009 upheld the conviction and life sentence of the 10 policemen including ACP S S Rathi for the killing of two Haryana-based businessmen due to mistaken identity at Connaught Place. A Delhi Police Crime Branch team led by encounter specialist Rathi had on March 31, 1997 fired indiscriminately on a car after suspecting that the businessmen were Uttar Pradesh based gangsters wanted by the police.

The strike by the pilots entered the sixth day today, crippling almost 90 percent of Air India's domestic flights. Official sources said in New Delhi today that the Air India management has so far not received any response from the striking pilots on its appeal of inviting them to the negotiating table. The management had yesterday sent an SMS appeal to the striking pilots to come back to hold talks. Air India Chairman and Managing Director Arvind Jadhav in his message said that allegations of corruption leveled by the ICPA would be probed. The pilots maintained that they are open to talks if an assurance is given that their demands will be met in a set time frame.
Meanwhile, the national carrier will operate only 40 of the 320 daily flights. An air India Spokesperson said that the curtailment is likely to continue till the strike is withdrawn. Hundreds of passengers continue to be stranded across the country because of the strike.

A possible clue has emerged in the search for the missing chopper carrying Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu and four other persons. Arunachal Pradesh PWD & UD minister Nabam Tuki told AIR today that three white spots were visible in the latest satellite images released by ISRO. The Army, police and other paramilitary forces have been rushed to the identified locations in Nagarjiji area near Sela Pass to trace the chopper missing since Saturday morning. Meanwhile, the two MI 17 helicopters on duty have been grounded for the time being due to bad weather.

After spending seven months in captivity, eight Indian sailors have returned home. The Somali pirates freed MT Asphalt Venture and its eight crew, including Captain Ramesh Singh and seven sailors, on Apr 15th after it was hijacked 100 nautical miles southeast of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania in September last year. However, seven crew members still remain in captivity after Somali pirates double-crossed the ship owners even after the payment of a ransom. Quoting Navy sources our correspondent reports that negotiations are still on to secure their release. A Naval frigate escorted the vessel till the ship was outside Somali waters.

In Jammu and Kashmir, one person was killed and ten others injured, three of them seriously, in a powerful blast on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Udhampur this morning. The blast took place in a parked vehicle which was planted with some explosive material believed to be RDX. The blast was triggered with the help of a remote control. According to our Udhampur Correspondent, An Army Major General had a narrow escape as his vehicle passed from the site of the blast barely a minute or two after the blast took place. Meanwhile, traffic on the 300 km long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway which was stopped immediately after the blast, has been allowed to ply again.

The country's exports went up by 37.55 per cent to 245.86 billion dollar during the last financial year 2010-11. An official press release said demand for Indian merchandise has increased not just in Western economies, but in new markets like Latin America and Africa as well. According to data released by the Commerce Ministry in New Delhi today Imports, however, were higher at 350.69 billion dollar in last financial year, despite growing at a lower pace of 21.6 per cent amid increasing crude oil prices.<<<<>>
The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex, which recovered by 60 points in opening trade later plunged 163 points down in late afternoon deals to 18972. The Sensex had lost 466 points in the previous five sessions.
