भारतीय जनता पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता मनोहर पार्रिकर को आज गोवा के नये मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में पद की शपथ दिलाई जाएगी। राज्यपाल के. शंकर नारायणन आज शाम पांच बजे कड़ी सुरक्षा के बीच पणजी में एस ए जी ग्राउन्ड में एक समारोह में उन्हें पद और गोपनीयता की शपथ दिलाएंगे। भारतीय जनता पार्टी-महाराष्ट्रवादी गोमान्तक पार्टी गठजोड़ के कैबिनेट मंत्रियों के पहले बैच को भी आज शपथ दिलाई जाएगी।श्री पार्रिकर ने कल शाम राज्यपाल से मुलाक़ात कर राज्य में औपचारिक रूप से सरकार बनाने का दावा पेश किया था। इससे पहले उन्हें भारतीय जनता पार्टी विधायक मंडल का निर्विरोध नेता चुना गया। बाद में पणजी में हुई बैठक में उन्हें भाजपा -महाराष्ट्रवादी गोमान्तक पार्टी गठबंधन का भी नेता चुना गया।

उधर, पंजाब में प्रकाश सिंह बादल को अगले बुधवार को मुख्यमंत्री पद की शपथ दिलाई जाएगी। कल चण्डीगढ़ में उन्हें शिरोमणि अकाली दल विधायक दल का नेता चुना गया। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि शिरोमणि अकाली दल और भाजपा विधायकों की संयुक्त बैठक आज चण्डीगढ़ में होगी और बाद में यह गठबंधन नई सरकार बनाने का दावा पेश करेगा।उत्तरप्रदेश में कल लखनऊ में समाजवादी पार्टी के नवनिर्वाचित विधायकों की बैठक के बाद पार्टी सरकार बनाने का अपना दावा औपचारिक रूप से पेश करेगी। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि राज्य के मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी उमेश सिन्हा ने कल नवनिर्वाचित विधायकों की सूची राज्यपाल बी० एल० जोशी को सौंप दी।

उत्तराखण्ड में नवनिर्वाचित कांग्रेस विधायकों और पार्टी के प्रेक्षकों की देहरादून में होने वाली बैठक स्थगित कर दी गई है। राज्य में कांग्रेस विधायक दल का नेता चुनने के लिए पार्टी के विधायकों के विचार जानने के लिए यह बैठक बुलाई गई थी। इससे पहले, कांग्रेस विधायक दल ने नया नेता चुनने की जि+म्मेदारी पार्टी अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी को सौंप दी थी।इस बीच, कांग्रेस और भारतीय जनता पार्टी, सरकार बनाने के लिए अपेक्षित बहुमत जुटाने के प्रयास कर रही हैं, क्योंकि दोनों के पास बहुमत नहीं है। राज्य में राजनीतिक अनिश्चितता बनी हुई है और दोनों पार्टियां एक सप्ताह के अंदर सरकार बनाने का दावा कर रही हैं।

कांग्रेस ने मध्यावधि चुनाव की संभावना से इंकार किया है। पार्टी नेता और केंद्रीय मंत्री जयंती नटराजन ने कहा कि यूपीए सरकार पूरी तरह स्थिर है और लोकसभा चुनाव, २०१४ में ही होंगे। श्रीमती नटराजन ने कहा कि कांग्रेस के अपने सभी सहयोगियों के साथ बहुत अच्छे संबंध हैं।कांग्रेय अध्यक्ष पहले ही कह चुकी हैं कि हम अपने सहयोगियों के साथ जुड़े रहेंगे और यह सरकार अपना कार्यकाल पूरा करेगी। विभिन्न राज्यों में जो लोग निर्वाचित हुये हैं उनमें से दो राज्यों में कांग्रेस जीती है और उत्तर प्रदेश में भी अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया है। उन्हें केंद्र सरकार के गिरने की उम्मीद करने के बजाय इन राज्यों में अच्छे शासन पर ध्यान देना चाहिये।

मेघालय विधानसभा का बजट सत्र आज राज्यपाल आर एस मूसाहारी के औपचारिक अभिभाषण के साथ शुरू होगा। ग्यारह दिन के इस सत्र के दौरान नौ दिन सरकारी कामकाज के लिए और दो दिन सदस्यों के निजी विधेयकों के लिए निर्धारित किये गए हैं। सत्र के पहले दिन पूरक अनुदान मांगे और सरकारी विधेयक पेश किए जाएंगे। दिवंगत सदस्यों को श्रद्धांजलि भी दी जाएगी। सत्र के अंतिम दिन बजट पारित किया जाएगा।---
हिमाचल प्रदेश की मौजूदा विधानसभा का अंतिम बजट सत्र आज शुरू हो रहा है। सत्र के दौरान विपक्षी कांग्रेस ने भ्रष्टाचार, अपार्टमेंट अधिनियम रद्द करने और निजी विश्वविद्यालयों के प्रसार पर रोक लगाने में विफल रहने के मुद्दे पर सरकार को घेरने की पूरी तैयारी कर ली है। मुख्यमंत्री पी के धूमल १९ मार्च को २०१२-१३ का बजट पेश करेंगे। बजट प्रस्तावों की जांच के लिए सदन की समितियों का कोई अवकाश नहीं होगा। राज्य का बजट सत्र छह अप्रैल को समाप्त होगा और कुल २१ बैठकें होंगी।---
मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने कहा है कि मुरैना जि+ले में युवा आईपीएस अधिकारी नरेन्द्र कुमार की हत्या में शामिल लोगों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। बानमोर के उपखंड पुलिस अधिकारी नरेन्द्र कुमार की हत्या पर दुख व्यक्त करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने कहा कि इस मामले की स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष जांच कराई जाएगी। कल भोपाल में पत्रकारों से बातचीत में राज्य के गृहमंत्री उमाशंकर गुप्ता ने कहा कि दोषियों को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा।दूसरी और विपक्षी कांग्रेस ने आरोप लगाया है कि खनन माफिया को उन लोगों का संरक्षण प्राप्त है, जो राज्य सरकार में शामिल हैं।

असम में गुवाहाटी के निकट कल पुलिस ने प्रतिबंधित गारो नैशनल लिबरेशन आर्मी के सात उग्रवादी गिरतार किए। इनमें एक महिला भी शामिल है। मेघालय के यह उग्रवादी एक वैन से शिलंग जा रहे थे। खुफिया सूचना के आधार पर असम पुलिस की टीम ने नाइंथ मील क्षेत्र में इन्हें रोका और गिरतार कर लिया। उग्रवादियों से एक पिस्तौल बरामद की गई। पुलिस ने वैन भी जब्त कर ली है। उग्रवादियों से पूछताछ जारी है।----
जम्मू-कश्मीर में रजौरी कस्बे में आज दूसरे दिन भी कर्यू जारी है। लोगों का भरोसा बहाल करने के लिए रजौरी के विभिन्न भागों में पुलिस ने अर्धसैनिक बलों के साथ लैगमार्च किया। अधिकारियों ने सेना को भी तैयार रहने को कहा है। रजौरी में कल सुबह हुए झगड़े के बाद उस समय कर्यू लगा दिया गया था, जब कुछ लोगों ने एक धार्मिक जुलूस पर पत्थर फेंके। पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बलों ने दो समूहों को तितर-बितर करने के लिए आंसू गैस और लाठीचार्ज का इस्तेमाल किया। रजौरी के वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक विजय सिंह सान्याल के अनुसार शहर के किसी भाग से अप्रिय घटना की ख्+ाबर नहीं है और स्थिति पूरी तरह नियंत्रण में है।-----
हरियाणा में जाट आंदोलन के कारण फतेहाबाद के गाजूवाला और नारनौल में स्थिति तनावपूर्ण है। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने बृहस्पतिवार को फतेहाबाद में रेल पटरियों को आग लगा दी थी। त्वरित कार्रवाई बल के जवान स्थानीय पुलिस की मदद से इलाके में गश्त लगा रहे हैं ताकि जाट आंदोलनकारियों को सड़कें जाम करने और रेल पटरियों को नुकसान पहुंचाने से रोका जा सके। हरियाणा के पुलिस महानिदेशक रंजीव दलाल ने हिसार में एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन में कहा कि पुलिस बल स्थिति पर नियंत्रण पाने में पूरी तरह सक्षम है और मौजूदा समय में सेना की किसी सहायता की जरूरत नहीं है।इस बीच, जाट खाप संगठनों के नेताओं की आज सवेरे जींद में बैठक होगी, जिसमें जाट आरक्षण के मुद्दे पर चर्चा की जाएगी।

यमन में संकटग्रस्त उत्तरी अमरान प्रांत में कल हिंसक घटनाओं में सात सैनिक और दो शिया विद्रोही मारे गए। प्रांतीय सुरक्षा अधिकारी ने बताया कि इन झगड़ों में लेटिनेंट कर्नल नशवान अल किलिबी और उनके छह अंगरक्षक मारे गए। इन लोगों ने विद्रोहियों को अपने सैन्य वाहन और हथियार देने से इनकार कर दिया था। यह घटना अमरान के हर्फ सुफियान जि+ले में हुई। रक्षा मंत्री ने सैनिकों पर हमले के लिए विद्रोही गुटों पर आरोप लगाया है।------

The details, Manohar Parrikar will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Goa today. He will be administered the oath of office and secrecy by the State Governor K. Sankaranarayanan at a grand function to be held at 5 this evening at the SAG Grounds in Panaji. Senior BJP leader L. K. Advani and National Party President, Nitin Gadkari will grace the swearing in ceremony. Our Panaji correspondent quoting party sources reports that the BJP has decided to go ahead by swearing in six Ministers including the Chief Minister today and expand the Cabinet after the presentation of the state budget, most probably on the 23rd or 24th of March. "For 56-year old Manohar Parrikar, an IIT graduate in metallurgy, it will be the third stint as Chief Minister of Goa. He was first elected to the legislative assembly of the state of Goa in 1994. He was the leader of opposition from June to November 1999. He became the Chief Minister of Goa for the first time on October 24, 2000. On June 5, 2002 he was re-elected and became the Chief Minister again. In Madhya Pradesh, the mining mafia killed an IPS officer Narendra Kumar in Banmore area of Morena district yesterday. The Madhya Pradesh government has said that strict action will be taken against the culprits. Expressing grief over the murder of Banmore Sub Divisional Officer of Police, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that a free and fair probe will be conducted into the matter. Our Bhopal correspondent reports that the Home Minister Umashankar Gupta and DGP Nandan Dubey paid tributes to the slain IPS officer in Gwalior yesterday.

In Jammu and Kashmir, Rajouri town continues to be under curfew for the second day today. The authorities are keeping the Army on stand-by even as the police along with para-military personnel, staged flag marches in different parts of Rajouri town to restore confidence amongst the people. Curfew was imposed in Rajouri town yesterday morning following eruption of clashes, when some unidentified persons pelted stones on a religious procession, forcing the police and para-military to resort to tear gas and lathicharge to separate the two groups. In Haryana, the situation is tense at Gajuwala in Fatehabad and Narnound. The protesters set on fire the rail tracks at Fatehabad yesterday. In Assam, seven militants belonging to the banned Garo National Liberation Army, including a woman, have been arrested by the police in Ninth Mile area, near Guwahati city yesterday. The Meghalaya-based militants were travelling in a pick-up van on their way to Shillong. Following intelligence inputs, a team of the Assam police intercepted them at the Ninth Mile area and arrested the ultras. A point 22 pistol and the van have been seized from the arrested militants. Police are interrogating the ultras.

he Assam government has taken an initiative to bring down Maternal Mortality Ratio. Our correspondent reports that in a bid to reduce the MMR, the Mamoni scheme has been introduced in the state under the National Rural Health Mission.
"Mamoni is the scheme to encourage the pregnant women to undergo 3 ante-natal checkups which identify the danger signs during pregnancy and offer proper treatment. Under the scheme, every pregnant woman receives a booklet on the tips of safe motherhood and new born care. After it, the pregnant women are provided with an amount of 1000 rupees in the second and third ante-natal checkups for expenses related to nutritional food and supplements. In Karnataka, a retired Judge R G Vaidyanathan will head the one-man inquiry commission into the March 2ND violence in the Bangalore City Civil Court complex and the attack by some advocates on mediapersons and policemen. The Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs S Suresh Kumar said in Bangalore yesterday that the terms of reference for the commission will be released today. He said, the government has also released funds to the Bangalore Urban Deputy Commissioner as compensation for the damage caused in the violence.

In Mumbai, nearly 200 people celebrating Holi were admitted to hospitals yesterday following allergic reactions to colour. The affected were mostly children from Shastrinagar, Shahu Nagar and Lokmanya Tilak Nagar in the Dharavi area. Most of the patients were admitted to the nearby Sion Hospital. In Gujarat, the Dhuleti festival of colour which follows Holi turned tragic in Vadodara and Bharuch districts as 12 people drowned and three went missing in separate incidents. At least five persons drowned in the Narmada at Nareshwar, about 60 km from Vadodara. Four boys drowned in Narmada in two different incidents in Bharuch district. In another incident in Vadodara, two young boys drowned in the Dhadhar river at Alarasa village in Dabhoi taluka, while one boy was saved. Another boy drowned in Narmada canal in Sama locality on the outskirts of Vadodara city yesterday.

In Yemen, at least seven soldiers and two Shi'ite rebels were killed in clashes yesterday in the northern restive province of Amran. A provincial security official said that Lieutenant Colonel Nashwan al-Kiliby and six of his bodyguards were killed in clashes after they refused to hand over their military vehicle and personal fire arms to the rebels. The gunfight took place in Amran district of Harf Sufyan at a checkpoint manned by the rebels. The Defence Ministry accused the rebel group of launching aggression against the army personnel.

The Kenyan government has said, it sacked 25,000 health workers from public hospitals. They have been on strike over pay and working conditions. The health workers' union has dismissed the action as a negotiation tactic. This appears to be an extraordinary drastic measure by the Kenyan government. It said, the names of 25,000 nurses and lab technicians have been removed from the pay roll. They have been on strike for four days. A government spokesman described the strike as unethical and urged unemployed or retired health workers to turn up today to be interviewed for jobs.

A strong earthquake with an initial magnitude of 5.8, hit the Xinjiang region of remote south-western China today. The United States Geological Survey said, the quake hit 218 kilometres south-east of Aksu in Xinjiang, close to the border with Kyrgyzstan. उत्तरप्रदेश में कांग्रेस की राज्य ईकाई की अध्यक्ष रीता बहुगुणा जोशी ने आज पार्टी हाईकमान को अपना त्यागपत्र भेज दिया। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि राज्य विधानसभा चुनाव में पार्टी के खराब प्रदर्शन की नैतिक जिम्मेदारी लेते हुए उन्होंने पार्टी अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी से मुलाकात की और अपना इस्तीफा उन्हें सौंप दिया। कांग्रेस ने राज्य विधानसभा चुनाव में केवल २८ सीटें जीती हैं तथा रायबरेली, सुल्तानपुर और छत्रपति साहूजी महाराज नगर जिलों जैसे कांग्रेस के गढ़ों में उसे बुरी तरह हार का मुंह देखना पड़ा है। भारतीय जनता पार्टी की राज्य ईकाई के अध्यक्ष सूर्यप्रताप शाही ने भी विधानसभा चुनाव में पार्टी की हार के कारण त्यागपत्र दे दिया है। इस बीच राष्ट्रीय लोकदल ने विधानसभा चुनाव में पार्टी को उम्मीद के अनुसार समर्थन न मिलने के कारणों की समीक्षा शुरू कर दी है। पार्टी अध्यक्ष अजीत सिंह ने राज्य के नेताओं से उन निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों से पार्टी की हार के कारणों की अलग रिपोर्ट तैयार करने को कहा है जहां २००७ के चुनावों में पार्टी की जीत हुई थी। पार्टी की राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी की इस मुद्दे पर विचार करने के लिए अगले हफ्ते नई दिल्ली में बैठक बुलाई गई है। २००७ में राष्ट्रीय लोकदल ने अकेले चुनाव लड़ने के बावजूद दस सीटें जीती थी लेकिन इस बार कांग्रेस के साथ गठबंधन करने के बावजूद उसने केवल ९ सीटें जीती हैं और वो भी नई सीटें हैं। अपनी सीट बरकरार रखने वाले पार्टी के एकमात्र उम्मीदवार पूरणप्रकाश हैं जिन्होंने मथुरा जिले में बलदेव आरक्षित सीट पर फिर से जीत हासिल की है। पार्टी के शेष विधायक चुनाव हार गये हैं। इनमें पिछली विधानसभा में पार्टी विधायक दल के नेता कोकब हमीद शामिल हैं। राष्ट्रीय लोकदल ने इस बार ४६ सीटों पर चुनाव लड़ा था।--------
कांग्रेस महासचिव दिग्विजय सिंह ने मध्य प्रदेश में अवैध खनन और २००४ के बाद से भाजपा सरकार द्वारा दिए खनन ठेकों की न्यायिक जांच कराने की मांग की है। मुरैना में कल भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के अधिकारी नरेन्द्र कुमार की हत्या पर दुःख व्यक्त करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि इस के पीछे मुख्य कारण राज्यभर में अपराधियों द्वारा किया जा रहा अवैध खनन है। भोपाल में जारी प्रैस विज्ञप्ति में श्री दिग्विजय सिंह ने आरोप लगाया कि भाजपा सरकार ने स्थानीय लोगों को खनन ठेके देने के बजाय उन बाहरी लोगों को ठेके दिए हैं जिनमें भाजपा नेताओं से संबंध हैं।माइनिंग माफिया जिसे हम कहेंगे। ये केवल मुरैना में नहीं है, पूरे प्रदेश में है। मैं तो चाहूंगा कि मेरे कार्यकाल की भी जांच हो और भारतीय जनता पार्टी के दस साल होने वाले है उनकी भी जांच हो। कितने खनिज के लीज दिये गये। किन-किन लोगों को दिये गये, कौन-कौन भारतीय जनता पार्टी के नेता और कार्यकर्त्ता उसमें शामिल हैं। किन-किन को इससें लाभ हो रहा है। इसकी सम्पूर्ण जांच करने के लिए एक न्यायिक जांच आयोग का गठन होना चाहिए और हमारे पांच जितने प्रमाण है सारे प्रमाण इसमें हम लोग प्रस्तुत करेंगे।
इस बीच, राज्य सरकार ने कहा है कि आईपीएस अधिकारी नरेन्द्र कुमार की हत्या की घटना की स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष जांच करायी जाएगी और दोषी लोगों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई होगी। खनन माफिया ने मुरैना जिले के बामोर इलाके में एसडीओपी नरेन्द्र कुमार की हत्या कर दी थी। उस इलाके में अवैध खनन की सूचना मिलने पर नरेन्द्र कुमार वहां गए और पत्थरों से लदी ट्रेक्टर ट्रॉली को रोकने की कोशिश की लेकिन ड्राईवर ने इस युवा पुलिस अधिकारी पर ट्रॉली ही उलट दी। नरेन्द्र कुमार की मथुरा जिले में उनके पैतृक गांव लालपुर में पूरे राजकीय सम्मान के साथ आज अंत्येष्टि कर दी गई। उनकी पत्नी ने उनको मुखाग्नि दी।

राष्ट्रपति प्रतिभा देवीसिंह पाटील ने आज ग्राम स्तर पर छठे राष्ट्रीय नवाचार पुरस्कार प्रदान किये। यह पुरस्कार गांव के लोगों को कृषि के क्षेत्र में सूझबूझ के साथ रचनात्मक अविष्कार करने और कृषि कार्यों में आने वाली परेशानियों को कम करने के उपकरण तैयार करने के लिए दिये जाते हैं। राष्ट्रपति ने इस अवसर पर राष्ट्रपति भवन परिसर में एक सप्ताह की प्रदर्शनी का भी उद्घाटन किया। यह प्रदर्शनी लोगों के लिए इस महीने की १५ तारीख तक खुली रहेगी। इस प्रदर्शनी में गांव के लोगों द्वारा तैयार की गई ऐसी मशीनें रखी गई हैं जिनसे ऊर्जा की बचत के साथ-साथ हाथ की मेहनत भी कम होगी। इसके अलावा अधिक उपज देनी वाली पौध की किस्में, जड़ी-बूटियां और खेती तथा पशुपालन के काम में आने वाले उपकरण भी रखे गये हैं। आकाशवाणी से विशेष बातचीत में केंद्रीय ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री जयराम रमेश ने कहा कि ग्रामीण लोगों के पास नये और रचनात्मक विचारों का भंडार है।ये जो पारम्परिक इनोवेशन है। बहुत तृणमूल स्थानीय जगह पर ये चलाया जा रहा है और चुनौती ये है कि अभी इसे भारी मात्रा में कैसे इसका इस्तेमाल करें। जैसे मैंने देखा है कि ग्रामीण इलाकों में रेफ्रिजरेटर और बिजली नहीं है। सोलर रेफ्रिजरेटर, सोलर कूलर ये सब इसको हम भारी मात्रा में इसका इस्तेमाल कैसे करे। वो ही तो सबसे बड़ी चुनौती है। आईडिया की कमी नहीं है हमारे देश में। एक अच्छा आइडिया को जगह-जगह ले जाने के लिए क्या सुविधाये चाहिए, वो ही हमारे सामने चुनौती है।

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री पृथ्वीराज चव्हाण कल होली के दौरान जहरीले रंगों से बीमार हुए लोगों को देखने के लिए आज मुंबई के अस्पताल गये। श्री चव्हाण ने बताया कि मामले की जांच के लिए छह सदस्यों की समिति बनाई गई है। यह समिति भविष्य में इस तरह की घटनाएं रोकने के उपाय भी सुझायेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि रंग के नमूने जांच के लिए भेजे गए हैं ताकि पता चल सके कि इसमें कौन सा घातक रसायन मिला था। इस बीच राजावाड़ी अस्पताल के अधिकारियों ने जहरीले रंग के कारण तेरह वर्ष के लड़के की मौत की पुष्टि की है। उन्होंने कहा कि विक्की वाल्मीकि नामक इस लडके की मौत अस्पताल में ईलाज के दौरान हुई। १९० से अधिक लोगों का सायन अस्पताल में ईलाज चल रहा है जबकि १६ लोग बायकुला रेलवे अस्पताल में भर्ती हैं। इनमें अधिकतर नौ से दस वर्ष तक की आयु के बच्चे हैं। इन लोगों को कल होली खेलते हुए रंगों में कुछ जहरीले रसायन होने के कारण घबराहट महसूस हुई और उन्हें उल्टियां होने लगी। रंगों से बीमार हुए अधिकतर बच्चे धारावी इलाके के शास्त्री नगर, शाहू नगर और लोकमान्य तिलक नगर के हैं। पुलिस ने लापरवाही का मामला दर्ज किया है और उन दुकानों का पता लगाने की कोशिश की जा रही है जहां से रंग खरीदा गया था।--------
हरियाणा में जाट आंदोलनकारियों का धरना जारी रहने के कारण फतेहाबाद, जींद और हिसार जिलों के गांवों और कस्बों में और खासकर नारनोंद, मय्यर, रामायण और गाजूवाला में स्थिति तनावपूर्ण लेकिन नियंत्रण में है। जाट प्रदर्शनकारियों ने कहा है कि अपना आंदोलन और तेज+ करेंगे क्योंकि अपने साथियों को रिहा कराने के लिए सरकार को दी गई समयसीमा समाप्त हो चुकी है और सरकार की ओर से कुछ भी नहीं किया गया है। प्रशासन ने किसी भी अप्रिय स्थिति से निपटने के लिए पुलिस के जवान और त्वरित कार्य बल के जवान तैनात किए हैं। महिला पुलिस भी लगाई है। हिसार में जाट आंदोलनकारियों ने अपने गांवों के बाहर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या दस पर पेड़ बिछाकर रास्ता जाम कर दिया हैं। हरियाणा रोडवेज+ के प्रवक्ता के अनुसार हिसार जिले में बस सेवाएं प्रभावित हुई है। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने कई स्थानों पर रेलपटरी पर भी अवरोध खड़े कर दिए हैं।उधर, मय्यर, जींद और कुरूक्षेत्र में जाट नेता आगे की कार्रवाई तय करने के लिए बैठक कर रहे हैं।--------
जम्मू-कश्मीर के सीमावर्ती शहर राजौरी में आज दूसरे दिन भी का कफ्र्यू जारी है। हालांकि शहर के किसी भी हिस्से से किसी अप्रिय घटना का समाचार नहीं है। कल एक धार्मिक जुलुस पर कुछ अज्ञात लोगों द्वारा पथराव किये जाने से राजौरी में तनाव पैदा हो गया था। पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बलों को इन दोनों गुटों को अलग करने के लिए आंसू गैस छोड़नी पड़ी और लाठी चार्ज करना पड़ा। राजौरी के उपायुक्त जी. ए. ख्वाजा के अनुसार स्थिति पूरी तरह नियंत्रण में है और शहर में कफ्र्यू लगाये जाने के बाद से किसी अप्रिय घटना का समाचार नहीं है।--------
असम में गुवाहाटी के निकट कल पुलिस ने प्रतिबंधित गारो नैशनल लिबरेशन आर्मी के सात उग्रवादी गिरफ्तार किए। इनमें एक महिला भी शामिल है। मेघालय के यह उग्रवादी एक वैन से शिलंग जा रहे थे। खुफिया सूचना के आधार पर असम पुलिस की टीम ने नाइंथ मील क्षेत्र में इन्हें रोका और गिरफ्तार कर लिया। उग्रवादियों से एक पिस्तौल बरामद की गई। पुलिस ने वैन भी जब्त कर ली है। उग्रवादियों से पूछताछ जारी है।--------
केरल में नियंतिकारा;छमललंदजपदांतंद्ध विधानसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से मार्क्सवादी कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के विधायक आर.सेलवराज ने इस्तीफा दे दिया है। विधानसभा अध्यक्ष जी.कार्तिकेयन ने इस्तीफे की पुष्टि की है। श्री सेलवराज ने पुष्टि की है कि वे सत्तारूढ़ यूडीएफ में शामिल नहीं होंगे। श्री सेलवराज के इस्तीफे के बाद १४० सदस्यीय विधानसभा में विपक्षी एलडीएफ के विधायकों की संख्या ६७ रह गई है। यूडीएफ के ७१ विधायक हैं।--------

इस्राइल के प्रधानमंत्री बेंजामिन नेतनयाहू ने कहा है कि वे ईरान के खिलाफ लगे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतिबंधों के नतीजों का इंतजार करेंगे और अभी एक-दो हफ्तों में उसके परमाणु प्रतिष्ठानों पर हमला करने की उनकी कोई योजना नहीं है। इस्राइली टेलीविज+न से बातचीत में श्री नेतनयाहू ने कहा कि वे इस मुद्दे का शांतिपूर्ण समाधान चाहते हैं लेकिन इस्राइल किसी भी हाल में ईरान को परमाणु हथियार हांसिल नहीं करने देगा। उन्होंने यह टिप्पणी अपनी अमरीका यात्रा के एक दिन बाद की जहां अमरीका में उन्होंने कहा था कि ईरान को परमाणु कार्यक्रम बढ़ाने से रोकने के लिए कूटनीति और प्रतिबंधों के नतीजों को वे ज्यादा समय तक इंतजार नहीं कर सकते। राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने श्री नेतनयाहू से अनुरोध किया था कि वे कूटनीतिक प्रयासों और प्रतिबंधों को कुछ और समय की मोहलत दें लेकिन श्री ओबामा ने अपनी यह स्थिति भी समझायी कि ईरान को परमाणु हथियार प्राप्त करने से रोकने के सभी विकल्प खुले हैं।--------
अफगान राष्ट्रपति हामिद करज+ई ने कल रात वीडियो कान्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा से लम्बी बातचीत की। अफगान राष्ट्रपति के कार्यालय की ओर से काबुल में जारी प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार दोनों नेताओं ने अफगान-अमरीका सामरिक भागीदारी समझौते के सिलसिले में जारी बातचीत में प्रगति, अफगानिस्तान के नेतृत्व में विद्रोहियों से शांति वार्ता और विभिन्न मुद्दों सहित आपसी हित कई विषयों पर चर्चा की। दोनों नेताओं ने अफगानिस्तान में सुरक्षा हस्तांतरण प्रक्रिया की व्यावहारिक जरूरतों पर चर्चा करने के साथ-साथ अफगानिस्तान की संप्रभुता को मजबूत करने वाले सामरिक भागीदारी समझौते की दिच्चा में प्रगति के बारे में भी बातचीत की। राष्ट्रपति करज+ई ने अमरीकी राष्ट्रपति को अफगानिस्तान के नेतृत्व में विद्रोहियों के साथ शांति वार्ता के प्रयासों बारे में भी जानकारी दी। दोनों नेताओं का विचार था कि एक-दूसरे के प्रति सम्मान की भावना के साथ साझेदारी अफगानिस्तान और अमरीका दोनों के ंिहत में हैं। राष्ट्रपति करज+ई और राष्ट्रपति ओबामा च्चिकागो में होने वाले नैटो च्चिखर सम्मेलन से पहले एक-दूसरे के साथ घनिष्ठ संपर्क बनाए रखने पर भी सहमत हुए।--------
बंगलादेश की प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना ने आरोप लगाया है कि मुख्य विपक्षी दल बंगलादेश नेशनलिस्ट पार्टी की प्रमुख खालिदा जि+या ने १९९१ के आम चुनावों से पहले पाकिस्तान की खुफिया एजेंसी आई एस आई से पैसे लिए थे। कल ढाका में एक रैली को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि बंगलादेश के लोग उन्हें माफ नहीं करेंगे। उन्होंने सुश्री खालिदा जि+या से भी सवाल किया कि उन्होंने आई एस आई से पैसे क्यों लिए थे। लेकिन बंगलादेश नेशनलिस्ट पार्टी ने इन आरोपों का खंडन किया है। स्थाई समिति के वरिष्ठ सदस्य रफिकुल इस्लाम मियां ने इस आरोप को सरासर झूठ और बेतुका बताया है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह सोचा भी नहीं जा सकता कि उनकी पार्टी चुनाव प्रचार के लिए किसी विदेशी संगठन से पैसा लेगी।--------
प्रधानमंत्री के सलाहकार टी के ए नायर ने कल शाम जम्मू में जम्मू-कश्मीर के मुख्यमंत्री उमर अब्दुल्ला से मुलाकात की और राज्य के विकास संबंधी मामलों पर चर्चा की। इस बैठक में पंचायतों के कार्यकलापों, प्रतिनिधियों और धन से संबंधित मामलों के अलावा अप्रैल २०१२ में शहरी स्थानीय निकायों के चुनावों के कार्यक्रम पर विचार हुआ। मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रधानमंत्री के सलाहकार को लोक सेवा गारंटी अधिनियम का प्रारूप सौंपा और उन्हें बताया कि इसके अंतर्गत आवास, जन स्वास्थ्य इंजीनियरिंग, राजस्व, सीएपीडी और बिजली विभागों में करीब ४५ सेवाएं निधारित समयसीमा में उपलब्ध कराने की व्यवस्था की गई है। श्री उमर अब्दुल्ला ने विभिन्न योजनाओं के तहत केन्द्र से मिलने वाले धन से जुड़े विभिन्न मुद्दो की भी चर्चा की। बिजली क्षेत्र में आरएपीडीआरपी के अंतर्गत करीब १९ अरब रुपये की राशि स्वीकार्य करने पर केन्द्र सरकार का आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने उड़ान योजना को सफल बनाने के ठोस उपाय करने को कहा। मुख्यमंत्री ने आग्रह किया कि राज्य में केन्द्र सरकार के समर्थन से चलाई जा रही नयी छात्रवृत्ति योजना के अंतर्गत राज्य के और अधिक शिक्षण संस्थानों को लाया जाए। उन्होंने दस हजार चार सौ साठ नये आंगनवाड़ी केन्द्र खोलने की मंजूरी देने को कहा है। राज्य सरकार ने इस आशय का प्रस्ताव केन्द्रीय महिला और बाल विकास मंत्रालय के पास भेजा है। प्रधानमंत्री के सलाहकार ने राज्य के तेज+ी से विकास और आर्थिक प्रगति में केन्द्र के पूरे समर्थन का आश्वासन दिया।

तमिलनाडु की मुख्यमंत्री जयललिता ने राज्य में बिजली के जबरदस्त संकट को देखते हुए एक हजार मेगावाट बिजली और प्राप्त करने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री से हस्तक्षेप करने को कहा है। डॉ० मनमोहन सिंह को लिखे एक पत्र में सुश्री जयललिता ने कहा है कि राज्य में बिजली की स्थिति गंभीर हो गई है क्योंकि संप्रेषण में बाधा आने के कारण उसे अन्य राज्यों से बिजली नहीं मिल रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार के प्रतिष्ठानों द्वारा चलाई जा रही प्रमुख बिजली परियोजनाओं में देरी हो रही है। सुश्री जयललिता ने कहा कि राज्य ने बिजली की कमी को दूर करने के लिए केंद्र से एक हजार मेगावाट बिजली मांगी थी जिसमें से केवल एक सौ मेगावाट बिजली दी गई है। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रधानमंत्री को लिखे अपने पत्र में कुडनकुलम बिजली परियोजना का कोई जिक्र नहीं किया है जो चालू होने के अंतिम चरण में है। इस परियोजना में इसके विरोध में चल रहे आंदोलन के कारण देरी हो रही है और राज्य सरकार ने इस बारे में अभी अपना कोई रवैया स्पष्ट नहीं किया है।--------

The Congress today staked claim to form the government in Uttarakhand with the support of three independents MLAs. Congress MLAs met the Governor, Mrs. Margret Alva led by the State party chief Yashpal Arya and the State party-in-charge Choudhary Virendra Singh this afternoon at Raj Bhavan in Dehradun.
They were also accompanied by three independents named Mantri Prasad Naithani, Harish Durgapal and Dinesh Dhanie and Pritam Singh Pawar of the UKDP. Later addressing the media, the Governor said that the Congress has claimed to form the government with its 32 MLAs alongwith the support of three Independent and one UKDP members who had also submitted their support in writing to her.
Mrs. Alva said that the Congress has the required number of 36 in the 70-member Assembly to form the government. She also said that now she would act as per rules in this regard. The Governor said that the notification regarding the formation of the State Assembly is expected by this evening.

In Goa, Senior BJP leader Manohar Parrikar will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Goa today. He will be administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor K. Sankaranarayanan at a grand function to be held this evening at SAG Grounds at Campal in Panaji. Senior BJP leader L. K. Advani and the National President of the party Nitin Gadkari will grace the swearing in ceremony. The swearing in is taking place outside the Raj Bhavan premises for the first time since the liberation of Goa.
AIR Correspondent quoting party sources reports that the BJP has decided to go ahead by swearing in six ministers including the Chief Minister today.
For 56 year old Manohar Parriker, an IIT graduate in metallurgy, it will be the third stint as Chief Minister of Goa. He is the first IIT graduate to become the Chief Minister of any Indian State. He was first elected to the second legislative assembly of the state of Goa in 1994. He was the leader of opposition from June to November 1999. He became the Chief Minister of Goa for the first time on October 24, 2000 but his tenure lasted only till February 27, 2002. On June 5, 2002 he was re-elected and became the Chief Minister again. On January 29, 2005 his government was reduced to a minority in the assembly after four BJP MLA’s resigned from the house. However, Parrikar proved his majority in the house by February 2005. In Uttar Pradesh, the leader of the state unit of Congress Rita Bahuguna Joshi today extended her resignation to the party high command. AIR correspondent reports that taking moral responsibility for dismal performance of her party in just concluded assembly election she met Party president Sonia Gandhi and extended her resignation. Congress had won only 28 seats and routed out in its strong hold districts of Raebareli, Sultanpur and Chhatrapati Sahuji Maharaj Nagar .
State BJP President Surya Pratap Shahi has also resigned from his post after party`s set back in assembly polls. Meanwhile the Rashtriya Lok Dal RLD has now begun its review the causes that deprived it of the expected support to the party. Party chief Ajit Singh has asked the state leaders to prepare an independent report on the reasons that led to the party's defeat in Assembly constituencies won by it in the 2007 election. A meeting of national executive has been convened in New Delhi next week to discuss on the issue.
In 2007, RLD had won 10 Assembly seats despite contesting the election alone but this time it could win only nine seats, that too new ones despite the tie-up with Congress. The lone sitting MLA who has succeeded in winning election is Puran Prakash from Baldev Reserved Assembly constituency in Mathura district. The rest of the party MLAs, including its legislature party leader in previous Assembly, Koukab Hameed, has been rejected by voters in his home turf.
RLD had contested 46 seats but won only in nine places getting a vote share of 2.33 per cent in this election.

President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil today gave away the 6th National Grassroots innovations awards to rural people for their creative and intelligent inventions and solutions for Agriculture and farming activities. The President also inaugurated a week long Innovations Exhibition at the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises which would be open to the public till the 15th of this month.
The exhibits on display at the President's Estate includes, mechanised improvised solutions that conserve energy and lessen manual labour, high yielding plant varieties, herbal medications and helping aids in farming and animal husbandry activities. Speaking exclusively to All India Radio, Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh said, the rural folk are abundant in ideas and creativity.

The Government is to set up a 100 bed hospital on the campus of National Institute of Health and Family Welfare to provide better health services. This was stated by Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Mr. P K Pradhan while addressing the 35th Annual Day of National Institute of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi today.
Mr. Pradhan stressed the need for more operational research to increase the standards of Health services in the country. Indefinite curfew clamped in border town of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir State continues for the second day today even as there has been no report of any untoward incident from any part of the town. Curfew was imposed in Rajouri town yesterday morning following eruption of tension when some unidentified persons pelted stones on a religious procession forcing police and para-military to resort to tear-gassing and lathi-charge to separate the two groups. According to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, G.A. Khwaja, the situation is fully under control and no untoward incident has taken place since the clamping of curfew in the town.

In Kerala, CPIM MLA, R. Selvaraj representing Neyyantinkara constituency in Thiruvananthapuram has resigned. State Assembly Speaker G. Karthikeyan has confirmed his resignation. However, Mr. Selvaraj clarified that he will not join the ruling UDF. With the resignation of Selvaraj, the strength of the Opposition LDF in the 140 member Kerala Assembly has come down to 67. UDF has 71 members.

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ms. Jayalalitha has sought the Prime Minister’s intervention for getting an additional 1000 MW of power, to meet the acute power crisis in the state. In a letter to Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Chief Minister said the power situation has been aggravated by the prevailing corridor congestion, leading to the state not getting the contracted power from various other states.
Pointing out that major power projects being executed by the Central Public Sector Underakings are getting inordinately delayed, Ms. Jayalalitha said the centre had allotted only 100 MW of the 1000 MW sought by the state to tide over the power shortage.
AIR correspondent reports that significantly the Chief Minister in her letter to the Prime Minister has not mentioned about the Kundankulam power project, which is in final stages of commissioning. The project has been delayed by a group spearheading the anti kundankulam movement and the state government is yet to take a stand on the issue.
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh demanded a judicial inquiry to probe illegal mining in Madhya Pradesh and mining contracts given by the state BJP government since 2004. Expressing grief on the incident of murder of 2009 batch IPS officer Narendra Kumar in Morena yesterday, he said that the main reason behind this incident is illegal mining by criminals across the state.
In a press release issued in Bhopal today he alleged that the BJP government has given mining contracts to outsiders who have relations with BJP leaders and not to local people.
Meanwhile the state government has said that strict action would be taken against the culprits who killed Narendra Kumar. It said that a free and fair investigation will be conducted into the matter.
Mining mafia had killed SDOP Narendra Kumar in Banmore area of Morena district. After getting a tip off about illegal mining in the area, Narendra Kumar was trying to stop a tractor-trolley loaded with stones. Driver of tractor-trolley crushed the young police officer by overturning the trolley over him. Police have arrested the driver and a case of murder has been registered against him.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan today visited the victims of yesterday’s color poisoning, during Holi celebrations, admitted to hospital in Mumbai. Chavan said that a six member committee has been formed to probe the matter and also to suggest ways to curb similar incidents in the future. He said that sample of color has been sent to the laboratory to find out the toxic chemicals present in it.
Meanwhile, Rajawadi hospital officials confirmed that a 13-year-old boy died due to colour poisoning. They said that the boy identified as Vickey Valmiki succumbed while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Over 190 people, mostly children in the age group of 9-10 years, are being treated at the Sion hospital while 16 others have been admitted to the Byculla railway hospital.

In Assam, the production of betel leafs has increased in the year 2010-11. Assam where betel leaf or pan is chewed by all classes, has produced over 12 thousand Metric tonne pan in that period. State Agriculture minister Nilmani Sen Deka said that pan is being produced in an area of around 35,000 hectare across the state. A report;
Sonitpur district has topped the list by producing 1900 metric tonne pan followed by Darrang and Goalpara district. Pan and Tamul or raw areca nut, are considered as an essential part of the Assamese society. It is a tradition to offer pan -tamul to guests after tea or meals in a brass plate known as Bota. Pan is used in most of the religious festivals. During marriage ceremony; it is being used as a fertility symbol. Indian Cricketer Rahul Dravid has announced retirement from international Cricket. Talking to reporters in Banglore, Dravid called upon new generation of young players to make their own history and bring laurels to the country.
I would like to announce my retirement from international & Domestic first class Cricket . It has been 16 years since I first played test match for India and I feel it is time to me to move on.

A solar storm of charged particles which erupted on Tuesday, hit the Earth yesterday, but did not cause any of the geomagnetic disruptions that scientists feared. The storm, which scientists claimed to be the largest in five years, was triggered by a pair of solar flares and is growing like a giant soap bubble.
According to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Washington, the solar outburst struck Earth's magnetic field, cutting some radio communications at the poles, but it didn't upset electronics and communications elsewhere. Several NASA spacecrafts caught videos of the solar flare as it hurled a wave of solar plasma and charged particles, called a coronal mass ejection into space. A bigger ejection could disrupt satellite operations.

A study by researchers at the University of New South Wales in Australia has found losing weight as a result of surgery carries more stigma than those patients who lose weight as a result of diet and exercise. In a paper published in the International Journal of Obesity, researchers looked at what impact the method of weight loss had on attitudes.
They found people who lost weight through diet and exercise were seen more favourably than those who had gastric banding surgery. UNSW's Dr Lenny Vartanian said it is well-known that, as well as suffering adverse health, overweight and obese people are often stereotyped as lazy, incompetent and lacking self-control.

कपास निर्यात पर प्रतिबंध की समीक्षा करने के लिए नई दिल्ली में हुई मंत्रिसमूह की बैठक बिना किसी नतीजे के समाप्त हो गयी। वित्त मंत्री प्रणब मुखर्जी की अध्यक्षता में हुई बैठक में कृषि मंत्री शरद पवार और वाणिज्य तथा उद्योग मंत्री आनंद शर्मा भी उपस्थित थे। श्री शर्मा कपड़ा मंत्रालय का काम भी देख रहे हैं।अधिकारियों के अनुसार इस मुद्दे पर आगे चर्चा के लिए अगली बैठक कल होगी। वाणिज्य मंत्रालय ने पांच मार्च को कपास के निर्यात पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया था।

मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने मुरैना जिले के बानमोर इलाके में २००९ वैच के आई पी एस अधिकारी नरेन्द्र कुमार की हत्या की न्याचिक जांच का आदेश दिया है। मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने भोपाल में कहा कि मध्यप्रदेश उच्च न्यायालय से आग्रह किया गया है कि वह इसकी जांच के लिए एक न्यायाधीश की नियुक्ति करे।हम दुःखी परिवार के साथ खड़े हैं, हमने यह फैसला किया है कि इस घटना की न्यायायिक जांच करवाई जायेगी, मैंने आज न्यायायिक जांच के निर्देश दे दिये हैं ताकि इस घटना की विस्तृत अध्यात्मिक जांच हो सके।
खनन माफिया ने कल नरेन्द्र कुमार की हत्या कर दी थी। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि युवा आई पी एस अधिकारी की हत्या, अवैध खनन तथा राज्य में बिगड़ती कानून व्यवस्था की स्थिति को लेकर सत्तारूढ़ भाजपा और विपक्षी कांग्रेस के बीच आरोप-प्रत्यारोप शुरू हो गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने आज कहा कि राज्य सरकार ने अवैध उत्खनन के खिलाफ अभियान चलाया है और ये अभियान जारी रहेगा। वहीं प्रदेश कांग्रेस ने राज्य में कानून व्यवस्था के ध्वस्त होने का आरोप लगाते हुए मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज ंिसह चौहान और गृहमंत्री उमाशंकर गुप्ता के इस्तीफों की मांग की है। कांग्रेस ने इस मुद्दे पर मंगलवार को राज्यव्यापी बंद का आह्वान भी किया है। कांग्रेस महासचिव दिग्विजय सिंह ने मध्यप्रदेश में अवैध उत्खनन और वर्ष २००४ से राज्य सरकार द्वारा दिये गये सभी खनन ठेकों की न्यायायिक जांच की मांग की है।

कांगे्रस ने खनन माफिया द्वारा आई पी एस अधिकारी नरेन्द्र कुमार की हत्या की निंदा की है। आज नई दिल्ली में संवाददाताओं से बातचीत में पार्टी प्रवक्ता मनीष तिवारी ने घटना को दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बताया । उन्होंने हत्या की व्यापक जांच कराये जाने की मांग की।अवैध खनन को तुरन्त रोकने के लिए और जो सब व्यक्ति इसमें लिप्त है और जो इसको संरक्षण देते रहे हैं, उनके खिलाफ तुरन्त कार्रवाई करे।
श्री तिवारी ने कहा कि पुलिस अधिकारी के परिवार के सदस्यों के बयानो से यह संकेत मिलता है कि उन्हें उन तत्वों से खतरे की जानकारी थी, जिनसे वे निपट रहे थे।
उत्तर प्रदेश में समाजवादी पार्टी के कुछ सदस्यों द्वारा अनुसूचित जाति के लोगों के घरों को कथित रूप से जलाये जाने के बारे में समाचार माध्यमों की खबरों का जिक्र करते हुए श्री तिवारी ने कहा कि यह निदनीय है और लोकतंत्र में ऐसे कार्यो के लिये कोई जगह नहीं है।

केंद्र में यूपीए का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा गठबंधन सहयोगी तृणमूल कांगे्रस संसद के बजट अधिवेशन के दौरान लोगों से जुडे मुद्दों पर आवाज उठाता रहेगा। सोमवार को शुरू होने वाले बजट अधिवेशन से पहले, तृणमूल कांगे्रस के सांसदों ने पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री और पार्टी अध्यक्ष ममता बनर्जी से आज कोलकाता में मुलाकात की। बैठक के बाद लोकसभा में तृणमूल कांगे्रस नेता और केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य राज्य मंत्री सुदीप बंद्योपाध्याय ने पत्रकारों को बताया कि देश के संघीय ढांचे को नुकसान पहुंचाने वाले राष्ट्रीय आतंकवाद निरोधक केंद्र शुरू करने, ईंधन की कीमतें बढ़ाने और उर्बरक पर सब्सिडी कम करने के किसी भी प्रयास का विरोध किया जायेगा।----
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने ऋण नीति की समीक्षा और आम बजट से पहले नकद जमा अनुपात यानी सी.आर.आर. में दशमलव सात-पांच प्रतिशत की कटौती की है। सी.आर.आर. की नई दर अब साढ़े पांच प्रतिशत से घटकर चार दशमलव सात-पांच प्रतिशत हो गई है जो कल से लागू होगी। बैंक अपनी कुल जमा राशि का एक तय प्रतिशत रिजर्व बैंक के पास जमा कराते हैं जिसे सी.आर.आर. कहते हैं। सी.आर.आर. की वर्तमान कटौती से बैंकों के पास अतिरिक्त ४८ हजार करोड़ रूपये आयेंगे। इस साल रिजर्व बैंक ने सी.आर.आर. में दूसरी बार कटौती की है। इससे पहले जनवरी में आधा प्रतिशत की कटौती की गई थी। आकाशवाणी से बातचीत में अर्थशास्त्री डी.के. जोशी ने बताया कि रिज+र्व बैंक ने यह कदम खासकर नकदी की समस्या से निपटने के लिए उठाया है।आज आरबीआई ने ७५ बेसिक प्वाइंट सीआआर कट किया, इस वजह से क्योंकि सिस्टम में लिक्विटी बहुत टाइट थी और क्योंकि एडवांट कलेक्शन १५ मार्च को डयू है उस वजह से लिक्विटी की सिचवेशन और ज्यादा टाइट हो जाती तो उस स्थिति को ध्यान में रखते हुए आरबीआई ने सिस्टम में लिक्विटी इनफ्यूज+ किया है सीआरआर कट के द्वारा और करीब ४५ से ५० हजार करोड़ लिक्विटी डायरेटली सिस्टम में आयेगी और जो बैंकों को कैश की तंगी महसूस हो रही है उसकों थोड़ा सा हीट करेगी।

देश का निर्यात फरवरी २०१२ में चार दशमलव तीन प्रतिशत बढ़कर २४ अरब साठ करोड़ डॉलर का हो गया। फरवरी में आयात में २० दशमलव छह प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई और यह ३९ अरब ८० करोड़ डॉलर पर पहुंच गया जिसके कारण इस महीने के लिए व्यापार घाटा १५ अरब २० करोड़ रूपये हो गया।अप्रैल २०११ और फरवरी २०१२ की अवधि में देश के निर्यात में २१ दशमलव चार प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई और यह दो सौ ६७ अरब ४० करोड़ डॉलर पर पहुंच गया। इसी अवधि में आयात २९ दशमलव चार प्रतिशत बढ़कर चार सौ ३४ अरब २० करोड़ डॉलर हो गया। वाणिज्य सचिव राहुल खुल्लर ने नई दिल्ली में संवाददाताओं को बताया कि २० प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर को देखते हुए वित्त वर्ष के अंत तक निर्यात करीब तीन सौ अरब डॉलर तक पहुंच सकता है।

In Uttarakhand, Congress formally staked claim before Governor and physically paraded the four MLAs required for the party to reach the magic figure of 36 in a House of 70. The Madhya Pradesh Government has ordered a judicial probe to inquire into the murder of IPS Officer Narendra Kumar in Banmore area of Morena district. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in Bhopal today that the Madhya Pradesh High Court has been requested to appoint a judge for the probe.

The Reserve Bank of India today cut the Cash Reserve Ratio, CRR, by 0.75 percentage points, from 5.5 percent, to 4.75 percent, in order to ease tight liquidity in the banking system. The Cash Reserve Ratio is the percentage of their deposits that banks are required to hold in the form of cash with the apex bank.
The move, which comes into effect from tomorrow, will inject around 48,000 crore rupees into the economy. The RBI's move comes less than a week ahead of its mid-quarter policy review on March 15. Economist D.K. Joshi on the RBI move.
RBI today announced cut in CRR primarily because the liquidity in the situation was very tight . The country's exports grew 4.3 per cent, year-on-year, to 24.6 billion dollars in February 2012. Imports rose 20.6 per cent in February, to 39.8 billion dollars, resulting in a trade deficit of 15.2 billion dollars for the month.
Commerce Secretary Rahul Khullar told reporters in New Delhi, that exports may reach around 300 billion dollars by the end of this fiscal.

Snapping three days of losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange surged 358 points, or 2.1 percent, to 17,503, on renewed buying by funds, amid firm global markets, today. The Nifty spurted 113 points, or 2.2 percent, to 5,334. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea rose between 0.8 percent and 1.4 percent, after Chinese inflation cooled slightly, and on optimism about Greece's sovereign debt crisis. The rupee gained 44 paise, to 49.84 against the dollar. Gold shed 25 rupees, to 28,265 rupees per ten grams in Delhi. But silver rose 200 rupees, to 58,000 rupees per kilo. And US crude oil futures climbed 74 cents, to 107.32 dollars a barrel, while Brent crude stood above 125 dollars a barrel. Pradeep Kumar, AIR News.

Veteran actor Joy Mukherjee, who starred in several Bollywood hits in the '60s, passed away this morning after prolonged illness at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 73. The actor was admitted to the Leelavati hospital on Monday. Expressing concern over the mushrooming of media schools, the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Mrs. Ambika Soni today said that her Ministry is in the process of constituting a committee to review the mushrooming of media training institutes across the country. In an initiative to provide facility to the passengers to plan their journey in advance, the Railways has decided to allow passengers to book their train tickets 120 days in advance from existing 90 days. The facility will come to effect from tomorrow. According to an official release, however there will be no change in case of certain day time express trains where lower time limits for advance reservations are at present in force. There will also be no change in case of the limit of 360 days for foreign tourist.

Syrian opposition activists have rejected calls by Kofi Annan, the UN and Arab League envoy to Syria, for dialogue with the government. The leader of the main opposition, Burhan Ghalioun, said the comments were disappointing when Syrians were being massacred every day. Mr. Annan, who is due in Syria tomorrow, had said a solution lies in a political settlement. He also said further militarisation would make things worse.

An Indian trade delegation arrives in Teheran tonight to explore commercial opportunities in Iran in the wake of sanctions on the country over its disputed nuclear program.
