Interim budget: 1000 crore rupees more for Nirbhaya fund to boost women safety

The interim budget proposes one thousand crore rupees more to the Nirbhaya fund for safety of women which was begun with the same amount of allocation.

It will be a permanent fund from now on. An amount of one thousand crore rupees will be transferred to the National Skill Development Corporation to take up the ambitious programme of providing skill to millions of men and women.

He made no changes in the plan expenditure for the next financial year but announced a massive allocation of one lakh fifteen thousand crore rupees for food subsidy.


The railways will get a budgetary support of 29 thousand crore rupees, a hike of 3,000 crore rupees.
