प्रधानमंत्री ने सन्‌ 2008 में सरकार के प्रति संसद में विश्वास मत हासिल करने में धन-बल के प्रभाव का खंडन किया है। डॉक्टर मनमोहन ंिसंह ने जोर देकर कहा कि कांग्रेस पार्टी या सरकार में से किसी ने भी इस तरह का गैर-कानूनी काम नहीं किया।
यह मुद्दा उठाया गया है कि देश में रिश्वत का मामला हुआ है। उसे सरकार पूरी तरह से खारिज+ करती है।

जुलाई 2008 में, 14वीं लोकसभा में, सरकार ने खुली वोटिंग के लिए सदन में विश्वास प्रस्ताव रखा था।

सरकार यह विश्वास मत जीत गई थी। लोकसभा में प्रस्ताव के पक्ष में 275 और विरोध में 256 वोट पड़े थे।
संसद के दोनों सदनों में अपने बयान में डॉक्टर मनमोहन सिंह ने कहा कि विकीलीक्स की रिपोर्टों की वैधता की पुष्टि नहीं की जा सकती। उन्होंने कहा कि इस रिपोर्ट में उल्लेख किए गए कुछ लोगों ने अपने शामिल होने का खंडन किया है। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि रिश्वत के आरोपों की जांच के लिए चौदहवीं लोकसभा में एक समिति गठित की गई थी, इस समिति को गलत कार्यों के कोई पुख्ता सबूत नहीं मिले। इस मुद्दे पर बहस भी की गई। बाद में हुए चुनाव में विपक्ष ने जब यह मुद्दा उठाया तो देश की जनता ने इसे नकार दिया।
14वीं लोकसभा के बाद हुए आम चुनावों के दौरान विपक्ष ने विश्वास मत के दौरान रिश्वत के यही आरोप लगाये थे, लेकिन जनता ने उसका क्या जवाब दिया?
जिस प्रमुख विपक्षी दल के पास 14वीं लोकसभा में 138 सीटें थी उसकी 15वीं लोकसभा में सीटें घटकर 116 हो गई।
प्रधानमंत्री ने खेद व्यक्त किया कि विपक्ष अपुष्ट और अनुमान के आधार पर मुद्दे उठा रहा है। प्रधानमंत्री का यह बयान विकीलीक्स वेबसाइट के इस खुलासे के बाद आया है कि वर्ष 2008 में विश्वास मत हासिल करने में सरकार ने धन-बल का इस्तेमाल किया था।
प्रधानमंत्री के जवाब से असंतुष्ट विपक्ष ने और स्पष्टीकरण की मांग की, लेकिन पीठासीन अधिकारी ने इसे नामंजूर कर दिया। दोनों सदनों में विपक्ष अपनी मांग पर अड़ा रहा। लोकसभा पहले साढ़े तीन बजे तक और फिर अगले सप्ताह मंगलवार के लिए स्थगित कर दी गई। राज्यसभा में सभापति हामिद अंसारी ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री ने विपक्ष की मांग पर बयान दे दिया है और नियम-251 के तहत स्पष्टीकरण का प्रावधान नहीं है। विपक्ष इस बात से सहमत नहीं हुआ और सदन की बैठक तीन बजे तक के लिए स्थगित कर दी गई। बाद में जैसे ही सदन की बैठक फिर शुरू हुई विपक्ष ने स्पष्टीकरण की अपनी मांग जारी रखी और सदन की बैठक मंगलवार के लिए स्थगित कर दी गई।

उधर, नई दिल्ली में इंडिया टुडे कान्कलेव में डॉक्टर मनमोहन सिंह ने कहा कि 2008 में विश्वासमत के दौरान उन्होंने किसी को भी कोई वोट खरीदने का अधिकार नहीं दिया था। उन्होंने कहा कि वे निश्चित तौर पर ऐसे किसी काम में शामिल नहीं थे। उन्होंने कहा कि गठबंधन की मजबूरी के बारे में उनकी टिप्पणियों का किसी भी तरह से यह मतलब नहीं निकाला जाना चाहिए कि वे संविधान का सख्ती से पालन नहीं करेंगे।

भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने कहा है कि वह वोट के बदले नोट मामले पर संसद में बहस चाहती है। दोनों सदनों में विपक्ष के नेताओं ने नई दिल्ली में पत्रकार सम्मेलन में इस मामले की सी बी आई जांच की मांग की। राज्यसभा में विपक्ष के नेता अरूण जेटली ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री को मामले की नैतिक जिम्मेदारी स्वीकार करनी चाहिए।
लोकसभा में विपक्ष की नेता सुषमा स्वराज ने प्रधानमंत्री पर 2008 में वोट के बदले नोट मामले की जांच के लिए गठित संसदीय समिति के निष्काषोर्ं को गलत ढंग से प्रस्तुत करने का आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा इस मुद्दे पर दोनों ही सदनों में विशेषाधिकार उल्लंघन का प्रस्ताव लायेगी।

सरकार ने कहा है कि अगर विपक्ष, संसद में वोट के बदले नोट मामले पर व्यवस्थित बहस की मांग करता है तो वह इसके लिए तैयार है। संसदीय मामलों के मंत्री पवन कुमार बंसल ने संसद के बाहर बताया कि विपक्ष, बयान पर स्पष्टीकरण की मांग नहीं कर सकता। उन्होंने कहा कि विपक्ष केवल उन्हीं बयानों पर स्पष्टीकरण की मांग कर सकता है, जिन्हें प्रधानमंत्री या मंत्री स्वयं देते हैं। विपक्ष के असंगत आरोपों को दरकिनार करते हुए श्री बंसल ने कहा कि सरकार को देश की जनता का विश्वास हासिल है।

लीबिया ने कहा है कि वह तत्काल संघर्ष विराम पर राजी है। लीबिया के विदेशमंत्री मूसा कूसा ने विद्रोहियों के खिलाफ हवाई कार्रवाई रोकने की भी घोषणा की। उन्होंने कहा कि लीबिया अपने सभी नागरिकों और वहां रह रहे विदेशियों की सुरक्षा करेगा। लीबिया के विदेश उप मंत्री खालिद कईम ने कहा कि उनका देश लीबिया को नो लाई जोन घोषित करने संबंधी संयुक्त राष्ट्र के प्रस्ताव का सकारात्मक रूप से विरोध करेगा।
इस बीच, ब्रिटेन और फ्रांस ने कहा है कि लीबिया पर कुछ ही घंटे में सैनिक कार्रवाई हो सकती है। फ्रांस का कहना है कि इस सैनिक कार्रवाई का मकसद लीबिया पर कब्ज+ा करना नहीं बल्कि वहां के नागरिकों की रक्षा करना है। फ्रांस का यह बयान संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद द्वारा लीबिया को नो लाई जोन घोषित करने और लीबिया में हस्तक्षेप के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी देने के कुछ ही घंटों बाद आया है।
 

भारत ने लीबिया में बड़ी संख्या में लोगों के मारे जाने पर गहरा दुख व्यक्त किया है। भारत ने लीबिया से युद्धविराम, नागरिकों की सुरक्षा और उनकी उचित मांगों के समाधान की अपील की है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद में मतदान के समय भारत के गैर हाजिर रहने का उल्लेख करते हुए विदेश मंत्रालय के एक बयान में कहा गया है कि लीबिया के ज+मीनी हालात की भरोसेमंद जानकारी का अभाव और संयुक्त राष्ट्र प्रस्ताव की अस्पष्टता, इसके मुख्य कारण रहे। भारत ने कहा कि लीबिया में वर्तमान स्थिति को सुधारने के प्रयास सुनिश्चित करने चाहिएं न कि संकट को और बढ़ाने की कोई कोशिश होनी चाहिए।

यमन में डाक्टरों के हवाले से खबरों में कहा गया है कि राजधानी साना में हुए सरकार विरोधी प्रदर्शन में 31 लोग मारे गए और एक सौ से अधिक लोग घायल हो गए। आज जुमे की नमाज के बाद सरकार समर्थक बंदूकधारियों ने प्रदर्शनकारियों पर गोलियां चलाईं लेकिन इस घटना की कोई आधिकारिक पुष्टि नहीं हुई है। राष्ट्रपति सालेह के खिलाफ यमन में विरोध प्रदर्शन चल रहे हैं। श्री सालेह 32 साल से सत्ता में हैं।
 

जापान में तोक्यो से ढाई सौ किलोमीटर पूर्वोत्तर में फुकुशिमा परमाणु बिजलीघर में रियेक्टरों को ठंडा करने में और दमकल लगाए गए हैं। इन रियेक्टरों में परमाणु भट्टियों को ठंडा करने के प्रयास युद्धस्तर पर चल रहे हैं। जापान के मुख्य केबिनेट सचिव युकियो अदानो ने संवाददाताओं को बताया कि आज विकिरण का स्तर लगभग सौ माईक्रोसीवर्ट्स था और इससे स्वास्थ्य को तत्काल कोई खतरा नहीं है।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परमाणु एजेंसी के प्रमुख युकिया अमानो स्थिति की स्वयं समीक्षा करने आज जापान पहुंचे।

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा है कि जापान के परमाणु संकट के मद्देनजर हमें अपने परमाणु संयंत्रों में सुरक्षा उपायों की समीक्षा की आवश्यकता है। डॉक्टर मनमोहन सिंह ने आज नई दिल्ली में इंडिया टुडे कानक्लेव में बताया कि परमाणु ऊर्जा विभाग से व्यापक समीक्षा करने को कहा गया है।
भारतीय परमाणु बिजली निगम के अध्यक्ष और प्रबन्ध निदेशक एस. के. जैन ने चेन्नई में बताया कि गुजरात में भुज में विनाशकारी भूकम्प और 2004 की त्सुनामी को हमारे परमाणु संयंत्रों ने सफलतापूर्वक झेल लिया था।

यूपीए अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने जलवायु परिवर्तन पर वैश्विक समझौतों में महिलाओं की उचित भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए राष्ट्रमंडल से नए पहल की मांग की है। श्रीमती गांधी कल लंदन में कामनवेल्थ में परिवर्तन की प्रतिनिधि के रूप में महिलाएं विषय पर व्याख्यान दे रही थीं।
भारत का जिक्र करते हुए श्रीमती गांधी ने कहा कि यहां महिलाएं अपनी ऊर्जा और ताकत से परिवर्तन में हिस्सेदारी निभा रही हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि लोकसभा में महिला आरक्षण विधेयक पास कराने की कोशिशें जारी रहेगी। राज्यसभा इसे मंजूरी दे चुकी है।

पश्चिम बंगाल में विपक्षी दल तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए अपने उम्मीदवारों की सूची घोषित कर दी है। कांग्रेस के लिए उसने 64 सीटें छोड़ी हैं। पार्टी प्रमुख ममता बैनर्जी ने कोलकाता में कहा कि तृणमूल कांग्रेस दो सौ 28 सीटों पर चुनाव लडेगी। हमारे कोलकाता संवाददाता ने बताया है कि कांग्रेस के साथ चुनावी तालमेल पर असंतोष जाहिर करते हुए सुश्री बेनर्जी ने कहा कि अगर कांग्रेस सोमवार तक अपने उम्मीदवारों की सूची जारी न की तो तृणमूल कांग्रेस बाकी सीटों पर भी अपने उम्मीदवार तय कर देगी।
तृणमूल कांग्रेस द्वारा आज अपने उम्मीदवारों की एकतरफा घोषणा कर देने के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल में होने जा रहे विधानसभा चुनाव में कांग्रेस और तृणमूल कांग्रेस के बीच तालमेल पर अनिश्चितता के बादल छा गये हैं। हालांकि कांग्रेस को अभी भी तालमेल की उम्मीद है। तृणमूल कांग्रेस प्रमुख ममता बैनर्जी ने आज संवाददाता सम्मेलन में कहा कि राज्य में चुनाव तारीखों की घोषणा के बाद उन्होंने 18 दिनों तक इंतजार किया, क्योंकि वे तालमेल चाहती थी। लेकिन कांग्रेस ने कई दौर की वार्ता के बावजूद जवाब देने में शीघ्रता नहीं दिखाई। इसबीच, प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मानस भुहिया ने कहा है कि राजनीति में कुछ भी अंतिम नहीं होता और दोनों पार्टियों के बीच बातचीत से निश्चित रूप से कुछ न कुछ रास्ता निकलेगा। कांग्रेस चुनाव समिति ने 90 उम्मीदवारों के नाम की एक सूची पार्टी हाईकमान को भेजी दी है।

तमिलनाडु में विधानसभा चुनाव में एक महीने से भी कम समय रह गया है, लेकिन ऑल इंडिया डी एम के गठबंधन में अभी भ्रम की स्थिति बनी हुई है। अन्ना डी एम के पार्टी द्वारा सीटों की एकतरफा घोषणा के बाद पैदा हुए संकट को दूर करने के लिए राजनीतिक दलों की बैठकें हो रही हैं।

पुदुचेरी में भी विधानसभा चुनाव की कल जारी होने वाली अधिसूचना से पहले अभी तक राजनीतिक गठबन्धनों में सीटों के बंटवारे की स्पष्ट तस्वीर नहीं उभर सकी है। विभिन्न दलों के नेता गतिरोध दूर करने के प्रयास में लगे हैं।

केरल में अब मार्क्सवादी कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी ने अगले महीने विधानसभा चुनाव में मुख्यमंत्री वी एस अच्युतानन्दन को उम्मीदवार बनाने का फैसला किया है। वे पालक्काड की मलमपुड़ा सीट से चुनाव लड़ेगे। दो दिन पहले श्री अच्युतानन्दन को टिकट न देने के पार्टी के फैसले का राज्यभर में पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं ने भारी विरोध किया था।
असम में विधानसभा चुनाव के दूसरे चरण के लिए आज सुबह अधिसूचना जारी की गई। इस चरण में मध्य और निचले असम के 14 जिलों के 64 निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में 11 अप्रैल को वोट डाले जाएंगे। पहले चरण के लिए नामांकनपत्रों की जांच शुरू हो गई है। 21 मार्च तक नाम वापस लिये जा सकेंगे।

जाट आंदोलन पर कड़ा रूख अख्तियार करते हुए इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय ने उत्तर प्रदेश के पुलिस महानिदेशक को आदेश दिया है कि वो उत्तर प्रदेश में रेल यातायात बहाली के लिए उचित कदम उठाएं। जाट प्रदर्शनकारी केंद्र सरकार की नौकरियों में आरक्षण की मांग को लेकर पिछले करीब दो हते से रेल पटरियों पर धरना दे रहे हैं। एक जनहित याचिका की सुनवाई करते हुए न्यायमूर्ति इम्तियाज मुर्तजा और न्यायमूर्ति श्यामशंकर तिवारी की खंडपीठ ने पुलिस महानिदेशक से कहा कि वह रेल पटरियों को प्रदर्शनकारियों से खाली कराए और रेल यातायात को पुलिस संरक्षण दें।
खंडपीठ ने कहा कि जाट आंदोलन से जिस तरीके से आम जनता को परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है उस पर न्यायालय मूकदर्शक नहीं बना रह सकता। न्यायालय ने राज्य सरकार से कहा कि पुलिस महानिदेशक या उनके स्तर का कोई अन्य अधिकारी इसी महीने की 29 तारीख को न्यायालय में हाजिर होकर बताए कि रेल यातायात को सामान्य बनाए रखने के लिए किस प्रकार की कार्य योजना तैयार की गई है। इससे पहले राज्य सरकार के वकील ने न्यायालय में दलील दी कि चूंकि मामला रेल का है और रेल के पास अपना सुरक्षा बल हैं इसलिए राज्य सरकार कुछ एहतियाती कदम उठाने के अलावा सीधी कार्रवाई नहीं कर सकती।

The Prime Minister has dismissed allegations of the use of money power for winning trust vote in Parliament in 2008. Dr.Manmohan Singh asserted that no one from Congress party or the government indulged in any unlawful activity in the trust vote. Making an identical statement in both the Houses of Parliament today, Dr. Manmohan Singh affirmed that the veracity of reports like Wikileaks cannot be confirmed. He said, some of the people named in the Wikileaks, have already denied their involvement. The Prime Minister reminded that the allegations of bribery were investigated by a Committee constituted by the 14th Lok Sabha.

Dr. Singh said, the issue was debated, discussed and rejected by the people of India through subsequent general elections.

Not satisfied with the reply of the Prime Minister, the Opposition wanted clarifications which the Chair ruled out. However, the Opposition in both the Houses persisted with their demand. The Lok Sabha was adjourned first till 3.30 P.M. and then finally, till Tuesday. In the Rajya Sabha too, when the Opposition did not relent, the House was first adjourned till 3 P.M. and finally, till Tuesday.

BJP today said that it wants a debate in Parliament over the alleged Cash for votes scam. Addressing a joint press conference in New Delhi, the leaders of opposition in both the houses demanded CBI investigation into the matter. Expressing dissatisfaction over the Prime Minister's statement in the Parliament over the issue, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitely said that the Prime Minister should accept moral responsibilty for the issue.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj accussed the Prime Minister of wrongly quoting the findings of the Parliamentary Committee set up to look into the Cash for Votes scam in 2008. She added that BJP will move Breach of Privilege in both Houses over the issue.

Libya says, it agrees to an immediate ceasefire. Libyan Foreign Minister Moussa Koussa has also announced halt to air operation against rebels.  He said, Libya is obliged to safeguard all citizens and foreigners. Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Kaim said that the country will positively react to the UN resolution imposing no fly zone on Libya. In a statement, Kaim said, Libya welcomes articles in the resolution on the protection of civilians and Libya's national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Meanwhile, France says, military action against Libya will come within hours and the country will participate in the move. French government spokesman and Budget minister Francois Baroin today said, the military strikes against Gaddafi will take place quickly. The British Prime Minister, David Cameron said that the British war planes will be deployed within hours to prepare for action over Libya.  Cameron told Parliament that Britain will be working urgently with its ally to enforce teeth to the U.N. Security Council resolution authorising action to protect Libyan civilians from Colonel Gaddafi's forces. The statement comes just hours after the UN Security Council adopted a resolution to authorize intervention, including a no-fly zone over the country. Meanwhile, Europe's air traffic control organization  has said  that Libya has closed its airspace to all traffic.

India today deplored the use of force in Libya and expressed serious concern over loss of numerous lives. Expressing full respect for sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Libya, New Delhi also called on the Libyan authorities to cease fire, protect the civilian population and address the legitimate demands of the Libyan people. A statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs explaining India's absentation from the UN Security Council vote said, there is relatively little credible information on the situation on the ground in Libya.

Reports quoting Yemeni doctors say that at least 31 people have been killed and more than one hundred injured in clashes during anti-government demonstration in the Yemeni capital Saana. Reports say that incident occurred when pro-government gunmen opened fire at an anti-government protest after Friday prayers. There is no official confirmation to the reports.

In Tamilnadu, confusion prevails within the AIADMK alliance with less than a month to go for the April 13th Assembly polls. Parleys have begun to sort out the issue of dissatisfaction over AIADMK's unilateral announcement of seats that they are contesting. On the ruling front, the DMK President M.Karunanidhi had talks with allies including the Congress, PMK and VCK to work out a strategy for the ensuing polls. Almost all the allies have finalised their list of contestants.

In Puducherry, even as the notification for elections is to be issued tomorrow, seat sharing talks among allies continue to be deadlocked, with leaders of various political parties holding parleys to find a way out of the impasse. The Ruling Congress continues its discussions with the DMK, to sort out differences in seat allocation. AIR correspondent reports that the congress has been demanding two third of the 30 seats in the union territory which is not acceptable to the DMK. The congress party has also had discussions with the other ally the PMK. VCK which is in the congress front has demanded 3 seats for the party.

In Kerala, the CPIM has reversed its earlier decision  and fielded Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan in the next month's assembly polls. The decision was announced by party state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan at Thiruvananthpuram.

In West Bengal, opposition Trinamul Congress has announced candidates list unilaterally for Assembly polls in the state, leaving 64 seats to Congress.  Announcing this in Kolkata this afternoon, party chief Mamata Banerjee said that the Trinamul Congress will fight 228 seats.  Expressing dissatisfaction over the formation of alliance with the Congress, Ms. Banerjee said that if the party does not announce its candidates list by Monday, the Trinamul Congress will put up candidates to these seats also.  The Trinamul Congress left two seats for its ally, Socialist Unity Centre of India, SUCI.  AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that five standing MLAs of the Trinamul Congress have been dropped due to de-limitation of constituencies.

The seat adjustment between Trinamool Congress and Congress for assembly polls 9n West Bengal has become uncertain following unilateral announcement of candidates by Trinamool Congress. Though the Congress is still hopeful about the formation of electoral alliance. The Trinamool Congress Cheif Ms.Mamata Banerjee said in a crowded press conference that she waited 18 days after announcement of polls schedule in the state as she favorued the alliance. But the Congress leadership did not responded to the urgency after several round of talks despite only time consumption. Meanwhile, the Pradesh Congress President Mr.Manas Bhuiya said that there is no last word in politics and something will be definitely emerged though discussion between the both parties. The state Congress election Committee which met in Kolkata today recommended names of 90 candidates to the party High Command for its consideration.

Meanwhile, the state Congress is still hopeful about seat adjustment with the Trinamool Congress. Pradesh Congress President Manas Bhuiya said that the impasse will be resolved through discussion between the two parties.

In Assam, with the issue of notification for the second phase of Assembly elections, hectic political parleys are on now. The second phase of election scheduled to be held on 11th of next month.  64 constituencies in 14 districts of Central and Lower Assam are to be covered in this phase.The scrutiny of nomination forms for the first phase of polls is likely to completed tomorrow.

The Allahabad High Court has rejected pleas filed by both Nupur Talwar and Rajesh Talwar and asked them to appear before the lower court in the  Arushi Murder case. They had appealed against a summon issued by CBI Court, which found  prime facie case against them on the basis of CBI closure report. The CBI court had also issued non bailable warrants against them in its order on  9th February for their failure to appear before the court and to initiate proceedings against them.Nupur and Rajesh both had filed separate pleas against the order of CBI court of Gaziabad in this case.

In Japan, more firefighters have been brought in to try to contain a nuclear emergency at the  Fukushima nuclear power plant damaged by last week's earthquake and tsunami.   The operation was  expanded this afternoon when seven fire trucks from the Tokyo fire brigade joined the effort. Authorities at the Fukushima plant, 250 kilometres north-east of Tokyo, have been trying to flood fuel rod storage ponds at the plant after cooling systems were wrecked by last week's twin disasters. The Chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano, arrived in Japan today to check the worsening nuclear crisis in Fukushima. Meanwhile, the death toll in Japan climbed past 6,500 today as search teams continued to comb through the rubble a week after a monster 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami hit the country.

The  Prime Minister has  said, the nuclear crisis in Japan has underlined the need for revisiting strategies for safety of atomic plants . He said, a thorough review by the Department of Atomic Energy has already been ordered by the government. Dr.Manmohan Singh was addressing the India Today Conclave in New Delhi today. In a related development the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited said, it was undertaking a review of the safety measures at all the plant sites and would augment the same, if required.

In the ICC Cricket World Cup match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai,   chasing a target of 266 against Sri Lanka, New Zealand were 117 for 7 in 27.3  overs, a short while ago. Earlier, electing to bat in the Group 'A' Day-Night game,  Sri Lanka scored 265 for nine in the stipulated 50 overs.  Skipper Kumar Sangakkara recorded his maiden World Cup century with a fine 111. Both teams have already qualified for the quarter-finals and they are playing their concluding league match. Earlier, in a Group 'B' match, Ireland defeated the Netherlands by six wickets.  Both the teams were already out of the race for the last eight stage.
