 प्रभावी लोकपाल विधेयक का मसौदा तैयार करने के लिए संयुक्त समिति का गठन के बारे में गजट अधिसूचना जारी करने की मांग सरकार के मान लेने के साथ ही जाने-माने गांधीवादी अन्ना हजारे ने अपना आमरण अनशन समाप्त कर दिया है। सरकारी अधिसूचना जारी करना अन्ना हजारे द्वारा भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ शुरू किए गए अभियान की प्रमुख मांग थी।
 अधिसूचना में समिति के कार्यक्षेत्र के साथ-साथ उसके दस सदस्यों के नाम भी दिए गए हैं। समिति की अध्यक्षता वित्तमंत्री प्रणब मुखर्जी करेंगे और इसमें विधिमंत्री वीरप्पा मोइली, दूरसंचार मंत्री कपिल सिब्बल, गृहमंत्री पी चिदम्बरम और जल संसाधन मंत्री सलमान खुर्शीद शामिल होंगे। जन प्रतिनिधियों के रूप में अन्ना हजारे के अलावा जाने माने वकील प्रशान्त भूषण, उच्चतम न्यायालय के अवकाश प्राप्त न्यायाधीश संतोष हेगड़े और आर.टी.आई कार्यकर्ता अरविन्द केजरीवाल इसके सदस्य होंगे। पूर्व कानून मंत्री शान्ति भूषण इस समिति के सह-अध्यक्ष होंगे।
 अपने साथ अनशन पर बैठे लोगों को पानी पिलाकर गांधीवादी अन्ना हजारे ने आज सुबह अपना आमरण अनशन समाप्त कर दिया। इस अवसर पर जंतर मंतर पर मौजूद लोगों को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि यह तो केवल शुरुआत है, भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ लड़ाई अभी जारी रहेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि यह पूरे देश की विजय है।

 ये तो अभी शुरूआत हुई है आंदोलन की, कई प्रच्च्न है देच्च के सामने और सरकार अपने होकर वो प्रच्च्न को नहीं छुड़ायेगी और हमें यही करना पड़ेगा। गवनमेंट ने जो बातें मान ली है उससे मुझे लगता है कि पूरे भारत की जनता की जीत हुई है।
 घटनाक्रम का स्वागत करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री डाक्टर मनमोहन सिंह ने कहा है कि लोकपाल विधेयक मुद्दे पर प्रबुद्ध नागरिकों और सरकार के बीच सहमति बनना लोकतंत्र के लिए एक अच्छा कदम है। नई दिल्ली में जारी बयान में उहोंने कहा कि सरकार संसद के मॉनसून सत्र में यह ऐतिहासिक विधेयक लाएगी। उन्होंने इस बात पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की कि अन्ना हजारे ने अपना अनशन तोड़ दिया है। भ्रष्टाचार को राष्ट्र में छाई महामारी बताते हुए प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार और अन्ना हजारे के प्रतिनिधियों के बीच बातचीत सार्थक रही है।

 प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने २जी स्पेक्ट्रम घोटाला मामलों में कथित रूप से शामिल दूरसंचार की बड़ी कंपनियों के खिलाफ विदेशी मुद्रा विनिमय प्रबन्धन अधिनियम यानि - फेमा उल्लंघन के आरोप लगाये हैं। इन कंपनियों में स्वान टेलीकॉम, लूप मोबाईल, लूप टेलीकॉम और एस-टेल शामिल हैं। इन पर चार हजार तीन सौ करोड़ रूपये की हेरा फेरी का आरोप है।
 फेमा उल्लंघन के मामलों की सुनवाई करने वाले संक्षम अधिकारियों के समक्ष पेश शिकायत में आज निदेशालय ने कहा कि वर्जिन मोबाईल द्वारा विदेशी मुद्रा विनियम में संदिग्ध हेरा फेरी की भी वह जांच कर रहा है। वर्जिन मोबाईल, टाटा समूह का संयुक्त उपक्रम है। निदेशालय ने शाहिद बलवा के स्वान टेलीकॉम पर भी तीन हजार छह सौ आठ करोड़ रूपये के फेमा उल्लंघन का आरोप लगाया है।

 असम में सोमवार को दूसरे और अंतिम चरण के चुनाव का प्रचार अभियान आज शाम समाप्त हो गया। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि बोडोलैंड क्षेत्रीय परिषद के चार जिलों में छिटपुट घटनाओं को छोडकर शेष स्थानों पर प्रचार के दौरान शांति बनी रही।

 दूसरे चरण के चुनाव प्रचार के दौरान बंगलादेच्ची घुसपैठ, भ्रष्टाचार और विकास का मुद्दा छाया रहा। इन मुद्दों को लेकर सत्तारूढ़ कांग्रेस और विपक्षी दलों के बीच आरोप-प्रतिरोप का दौर चला।  भाजपा, असम गण परिषद्, बोड़ोलैंड पिपूल्स फ्रंट, ऑल इंडिया युनाईटेट फ्रंट, एनसीपी और वाम दलों ने कांग्रेस के ऊपर भ्रष्टाचार का आरोप लगाया। दूसरी और कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने इसे खारिज करते हुए कहा कि विपक्षी नेता विकास की दुहाही देकर आम लोगों को गुमराह कर रहे हैं।

  इस चरण में असम के मैदानी और बोडोलैंड क्षेत्रों के १४ जिलों के ६४ विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में मतदान किया जायेगा।
 राज्य निर्वाचन कार्यालय सूत्रों ने कहा है कि कुल १२ हजार पांच सौ ८९ मतदान केन्द्रों में से दो हजार तैतीस की पहचान अति संवेदनशील, चार हजार एक सौ ७५ संवेदनशील और चार सौ ७५ मतदान केन्द्रों को गड़बडी की आशंका वाला बताया गया है। केन्द्रीय अर्धसैनिक बलों की पांच सौ कंपनियां तैनात कर दी गयी हैं।

पश्चिम बंगाल में विधानसभा चुनाव के दूसरे चरण में दो सौ ९३ उम्मीदवार मैदान में है। आज नामांकन पत्र वापस लेने के अंतिम दिन सात उम्मीदवारों ने अपने नाम वापस लिये। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि पहले चरण के चुनाव का प्रचार धीरे धीरे जोर पकड रहा है। इस महीने की १८ तारीख को उत्तरी बंगाल के छह जिलों की ५४ सीटों के लिए मतदान होगा।

 पहले चरण के मतदान के लिए उत्तरी बंगाल के छह जिलों-दार्जिलिंग, जलपाईगुड़ी कूचबिहार, मालदा और दक्षिण दीनाजपुर में सभी राजनैतिक दल चुनाव प्रचार में एड़ी-चोटी का जोर लगा रहे हैं। प्रमुख पार्टियों के बड़े नेता अगले सप्ताह चुनाव प्रचार के लिए अपने-अपने क्षेत्र में पहुंचने वाले है। कोलकाता हाईकोर्ट के द्वारा माइक्रो फोन के इस्तेमाल पर प्रतिबंध पर छूट दिये जाने के बाद चुनाव प्रचार में तेजी आ गई है। यहां पहले चरण के चुनाव में कुल मिलाकर ३६४ उम्मीदवार है। चुनाव प्रक्रिया पर नजर रखने के लिए २८ सामान्य प्रेक्षक और नौ व्यय प्रेक्षक पहले ही उत्तरी बंगाल पहुंच चुके हैं। चुनाव के दौरान कानून और व्यवस्था पर नज+र रखने के लिए तीन पुलिस प्रक्षेक भी आ चुके हैं। मतदाताओं में विच्च्वास पैदा करने के लिए अर्द्धसैनिक बलों ने जगह-जगह अपनी मौजूदगी बढ़ा दी है।

 तमिलनाडु में विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए प्रचार सोमवार को समाप्त हो रहा है। विभिन्न दलों के प्रमुख नेता पूरे राज्य में जोरशोर से प्रचार कार्य में जुटे हुए हैं। उधर, निर्वाचन विभाग के अधिकारी मतदान मशीनों में उम्मीदवारों की सूची दर्ज कराने के काम में लगे हुए हैं।

 मतदाताओं की अधिक से अधिक भागीदारी सुनिच्च्िचत कराने के लिए चुनाव अधिकारी उन मतदाताओं को जिन्हें अभी तक वोटर सिलीप नहीं मिला है। उन्हें कल इसका वितरण करेंगे। मतदान के दौरान किसी भी अप्रिय घटना को रोकने के लिए पूरे राज्य में सतर्कता बढ़ा दी गई है। जबकि शनिवार को अर्द्धसैनिक बलों की ४० और कम्पनियां यहां पहुंच रही है। चुनाव आयोग में २०० कम्पनियां पहले से ही तैनात कर रखी है।  बुधवार को साढ़े चार करोड़ से ज्यादा मतदाता २ हजार ७४८ उम्मीदवारों के भाग्य का फैसला करेंगे।

 प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने कहा है कि केन्द्र की कांग्रेस और तमिलनाडु में डी एम के. सरकारों ने राज्य को देश के अग्रणी राज्यों की श्रेणी में ला खड़ा किया है। आज कोयंबटूर में एक चुनावी जनसभा में उन्होंने तमिलनाडु के लोगों को विश्वास दिलाया कि केन्द्र सरकार तिरुपुर के कपड़ा क्षेत्र की समस्याओं को हल करेंगे।

 कांग्रेस ने कहा है कि तमिलनाडु में शिक्षण संस्थाओं और रोजगार में पिछड़ी जातियों, अनुसूचित जातियों और जनजातियों को ६९ प्रतिशत आरक्षण देने का प्रावधान स्थाई तौर पर जारी रखने के कदम उठाए जाएंगे। यह आश्वासन कांग्रेस के चुनावी  घोषणा पत्र में दिया गया है। आज चेन्नई में वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेता और केन्द्रीय मंत्री प्रणब मुखर्जी ने चुनाव घोषणापत्र जारी किया।
 पार्टी ने कहा है कि दक्षिण भारत की नदियों को आपस में जोड़ने को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी।
 कांग्रेस पार्टी ने कहा कि इस बात को सुनिश्चित करने के प्रयास किए जाएंगे कि कृषि को उद्योग का दर्जा दिया जाए। देश में दूसरी हरित क्रांति लाने के लिए नए सिरे से प्रयास किए जाएंगे।
 शिक्षा के बारे में पार्टी ने आश्वासन दिया है कि मेडिकल कालेजों में प्रवेश के लिए ली जाने वाली परीक्षा को समाप्त कर दिया जाएगा। पार्टी ने यह भी कहा है कि तटवर्ती क्षेत्रों में रह रहे मछुआरों के समग्र विकास के लिए योजना तैयार की जाएगी जिसमें उनके आवास, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य और बुनियादी सुविधाओं पर ध्यान दिया जाएगा।

 प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने कहा है कि तेजी से बदलती दुनिया में वामदल अभी भी बेतुकी नीतियों को लेकर चल रहे हैं। आज केरल के कोल्लम में कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व वाले यू डी एफ गठबंधन की रैली को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि वामदल इतिहास से सबक नहीं ले रहे हैं और समय के साथ नहीं चल रहे हैं। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि विश्वव्यापी आर्थिक संकट के बावजूद भारत की आर्थिक विकास की दर आठ प्रतिशत रही है। सबसे गरीब लोगों के समग्र विकास को सुनिश्चित किया गया है।

 कांग्रेस महासचिव राहुल गांधी ने आरोप लगाया है कि केरल सरकार राज्य के औद्योगिक विकास को सही ढंग से अंजाम देने में नाकाम रही है। आज कोच्चि में एक जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि औद्योगिक विकास से गरीबों को लाभ पहुंचता है और यह सरकार का कर्तव्य है कि विकास के लाभ गरीबों तक पहुंचाएं जाएं।

 लोकसभा में विपक्ष की नेता सुषमा स्वराज ने कहा है कि उनकी पार्टी इस बार केरल विधान सभा के चुनाव में उनकी पार्टी को जरूर सफलता मिलेगी। एरनाकुलम प्रेस कलब में प्रेस से मिलिए कार्यक्रम में उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी पार्टी राज्य में विपक्ष की भूमिका निभायेगी।
 लोकपाल विधेयक के बारे में उन्होंने कहा कि शुरूआत अच्छी है, और भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ जागरूकता पैदा करने की भी जरूरत है। उन्होंने कहा कि राजनीतिक दलों में ही भ्रष्टाचार नहीं है बल्कि समाज भी इसका दोषी है।

 केन्द्रीय वित्त मंत्री प्रणब मुखर्जी ने कहा है कि केन्द्र की कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व वाली यू.पी.ए सरकार समाज के वंचित और उपेक्षित वर्गों के विकास के लिए लगातार काम कर रही है। आज पुदुचेरी में करी-कलम-पक्कम में एक चुनावी रैली को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि केन्द्र सरकार पिछले साठ वर्षों से गरीबों और दलितों के साथ-साथ अनुसूचित जनजातियों के विकास के लिए काम करती आ रही है। उन्होंने पुदुचेरी में चौदह प्रतिशत की विकास दर हासिल करने के लिए प्रदेश सरकार की प्रशंसा की।

 मिस्र में राजधानी काहिरा के तहरीर चौक पर प्रदर्शन के दौरान दो लोग मारे गये और १८ अन्य लोग घायल हो गए । यह घटना बीती रात उस समय हुई जब अपदस्थ राष्ट्रपति हुस्नी मुबारक पर मुकदमा चलाये जाने और सैनिक शासन समाप्त करने की मांग को लेकर प्रदर्शन कर रहे लोगों को सेना ने हटाने की कोशिश की।
 प्रदर्शनकारी अन्य मांगों के अलावा मुबारक का स्थान लेने वाले अंतरिम राष्ट्रपति फील्ड मार्शल मोहम्मद हुसैन तांतवी के इस्तीफे की भी मांग कर रहे थे।

 लीबिया के गृह युद्ध में पूर्वी मोर्चे पर फिर लड़ाई छिड गयी है। गद्दाफी की वफादार सेना ने अजदाबिया के पश्चिम में पीछे हट रहे विद्रोहियों पर गोलाबारी की है। इससे तेल शोधक कारखानों के शहर ब्रेगा की ओर विद्रोहियों के बढ़ने की गति धीमी पड़ गयी है और उनके हौसले पस्त हो रहे हैं। विद्रोहियों के अनुसार ब्रेगा के पश्चिमी गेट पर गद्दाफी की सेना बमबारी कर रही है।

 जापान के दक्षिणी भाग क्यूशू में आज रिक्टर पैमाने पर छह दशमलव एक की तीव्रता का भूकंप आया। अमरीकी भूगर्भ सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार भूकंप का केन्द्र क्यूशू में मियाजाकी से दक्षिण में २१२ किलोमीटर दूर लगभग २१ किलोमीटर की गहराई पर समुद्र में था। यह स्थान तोक्यिो से ९७३ किलोमीटर दक्षिण पश्चिम में है। स्थानीय समय के अनुसार यह भूकंप रात ९ बजकर ५७ मिनट पर आया। जानमान के नुकसान की कोई खबर नहीं है।

 श्रीलंका में एल टी टी ई के कट्टर लड़ाकों को छोड़कर आत्म समर्पण करने वाले अन्य कार्यकर्ताओं को रिहा कर दिया जाएगा। श्रीलंका के विदेश मंत्री जी. एल. पेईरिस ने आज लंदन में संवाददाताओं को बताया कि लड़ाई में बेदखल हुए तमिलों में से दो लाख अस्सी हजार लोगों को वापस उनके घरों को भेज दिया गया है।

 दिल्ली सर्राफा बाजार में आज सोने और चांदी की कीमतों में उछाल रहा । पिछले पांच सत्रों के दौरान प्रति किलो चांदी की कीमत दो हजार एक सौ पचास रूपये से अधिक बढ़कर आज  ६१ हजार ४०० रूपये पर पहुंच गयी। सोने की कीमतें भी २२५ रूपये की बढत के साथ २१ हजार पांच सौ ४५ रूपये प्रति दस ग्राम पर जा पहुंची।
 दोनों धातुओं में यह तेजी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर लिवाली तेज होने से हुई है।

Noted Gandhian Anna Hazare has ended his fast with the government issuing a gazette notification today on the formation of a joint committee to draft an effective Lokpal Bill. The notification was one of the key demands of the anti-corruption campaign launched by him. Besides the terms of reference, the notification listed names of those on the 10-member panel to be headed by Senior Minister Pranab Mukherjee. Other members include Law Minister Veerappa Moily, Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Water Resources Minister Salman Khurshid. Besides Hazare himself, those representing the civil society in the joint committee will be eminent lawyers Shanti Bhushan, Prasant Bhushan, retired Supreme Court Judge Santosh Hegde and RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal. Shanti Bhushan will be the co-Chairman. Ending his fast after offering water to people sitting with him on the hunger strike Anna Hazare told a large of people gathered at Jantar Mantar in the national capital that the fight against the corruption will continue and this is only a beginning. He termed it a victory for the entire nation.

Welcoming the development the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said that the joining of hands of civil society and the government on the Lokpal Bill issue is a step that augurs well for democracy. In a statement in New Delhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh said the government intends to introduce the historic legislation in the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Describing corruption a scourge that confronts the nation, the Prime Minister said, the interaction between the government and the representatives of Anna Hazare was productive. He hoped that process to prepare this legislation will move forward in a constructive mode so that after consulting wide spectrum of stake holders, the bill is placed before the Cabinet for introduction during the Monsoon Session. Finance Minster Pranab Mukherjee has expressed confidence that a satisfactory and amicable solution on Lok Pal issue is possible.

Pranab Mukerjee said the UPA government had acted expeditiously whenever concrete evidence was found in scams and listed the actions initiated in the 2G, CWG and Adarsh scams. BJP leader Ravishankar Prasad called it a victory of civil society.

The Enforcement Directorate has slapped various charges of FEMA violations against top telecom firms allegedly involved in the 2G spectrum scam. The firms include Swan Telecom, Loop Mobile, Loop Telecom and S-Tel and the violations amounted to the tune of over 4,300 crore rupees. The Directorate in its complaint filed before the Competent Adjudicating Authority for FEMA violations, today said, it is also probing suspected contravention of forex rules in Virgin Mobile, a joint venture of Tata group. It has charged Shahid Balwa-promoted Swan Telecom, with committing FEMA contraventions to the tune of 3,608 crore rupees. The Directorate said the violation was done by the company in issuing shares to foreign investors on an abnormal value to avoid the permission of Foreign Investment Promotion Board. In the case of Loop Mobile India Limited based in Mumbai, the Enforcement Directorate alleged FEMA contravention to a total amount of 431 crore rupees. The Directorate says, it is also analysing the pricing issue of shares between Unitech and Telenor.

In Assam, the high-pitch campaign for the second and final phase of polling on Monday, ended at 3.00 this afternoon. The campaign was by and large peaceful except for a few stray incidents of violence in four districts of the Bodoland Territorial Council. 64 Assembly segments in 14 districts, comprising Lower Assam and Bodoland belt, are to be covered in this phase of election. Political fate of 496 candidates, including 47 women will be decided. Two former Chief Ministers- Prafulla Kumar Mahanta and Dr. Bhumidhar Barman - besides the President of the Asom Gana Parishad, Chandra Mohan Patowary and several prominent sitting Ministers, are also in the frey in this phase. State Election Office sources said that of the total 12,589 polling stations, 2033 have been identified as hyper-sensitive, 4175 as sensitive and 475 as vulnerable. Our Correspondent reports that around 500 companies of Central paramilitary forces have been deployed for the conduct of free and fair polls.

The issues of infiltration from Bangladesh to neighboring Assam, corruption and development of the state figured prominently during the campaigning for final phase of elections in the state. Welfare measures for the minorities were also the epicenter of campaigning of almost all the parties. Ruling Congress and those of opposition parties- including BJP, Asom Gana Parishad, AIUDF, NCP and left parties made allegations and counter-allegations on the point of development works in the state and infiltration of Bangladeshis. In West Bengal, altogether 293 candidates are in the fray for 2nd phase of Assembly elections. Seven candidates withdrew their nominations on last date for withdrawal of candidature today. The 2nd phase of poll will take place in 50 seats in Murshidabad, Nadiya and Birbhum districts on 23rd of this month. Meanwhile, 488 nominations have been filed for third phase of elections in the state.

Six North Bengal districts Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Koochbihar, Malda, North and South Dinajpur districts are witnessing vigorous campaign by all the major political parties for first phase of poll. All important leaders of the major political parties are likely to hit the campaign trail in next week. However campaigning is gradually gaining momentum following relaxation of ban on use of micro phones by the Calcutta High Court. Altogether 364 candidates are in the fray for first phase of election. 28 General observers and nine expenditure observers have already arrived in North Bengal to monitor the election process. In Tamil Nadu, leaders are on the final leg of electioneering across the state to cover different assembly segments. As the campaigning will end on Monday, the election department officials are busy feeding the list of candidates on Electronic Voting machines.

Voters are basking in the attention, as candidates of various parties, make through narrow streets with folded hands, seeking their votes. This is the scenario across the state, as electioneering comes to a close. With reports that political parties may try to bribe voters, the election commission has intensified surveillance to check the malpractice. To ensure greater participation, the election department is to distribute voter slips to voters who have not got the slips so far. In its election manifesto released by Senior party Leader Pranab Mukerjee in Chennai today, the party said, priority will be accorded to interlink rivers in southern India besides making attempts to resolve the differences between Kerala and Tamil Nadu on Mullaiperiyar dam issue, without affecting the friendly ties between the two states. Addressing an election rally in Karikalampakkam in Puducherry today, Mr. Mukherjee said, the UPA Government at the Centre is working for the upliftment of poor, unprivileged like Dalits and tribals.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushama Swaraj says, her party is confident of opening its account in the Kerala assembly. In Egypt, two people have been killed and at least 18 others injured during protests in Tahrir Square in the capital, Cairo. The violence occurred overnight as the army tried to clear protesters calling for ex-President Hosni Mubarak to be tried and an end to military rule. Witnesses say military police cracked down on protesters left in the square early today after one of the biggest demonstrations in the Egyptian capital since Mubarak was forced to resign on February 11. Protesters were beaten with clubs and shots were fired. An army spokesman said that only blanks were used. The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces has released a statement claiming the attack was targeted against thugs and members of the former-ruling National Democratic Party who they accused of 'conducting sabotage' in the square. The armed forces stress that they will not tolerate any acts of rioting or any act that harms the interest of the country and the people. The protesters were demanding a number of measures, including the resignation of the man who has replaced Mubarak as interim leader, Field Marshal Mohammed Hussein Tantawi.

Libyan rebel forces in besieged Misurata today pushed back the advancing Gaddafi troops amid fierce battle for the control of the key eastern town of Ajdabiya. The rebels claimed that five people were killed in the fighting in Misurata. Fierce street fighting was witnessed as Gaddafi's forces mounted an assault on the eastern part of Misurata, the lone major rebel stronghold in the west of the country. Anti-government rebels have criticised NATO for what they say is a lack of response to the relentless pounding of Misrata by Gaddafi's forces for more than a month. The European Union is rushing aid to Misrata, helping to evacuate the wounded and provide food, water and medical supplies.

Environment Ministry has proposed to revise its 2009 classification of the country's heavily forested regions into 'Go' and 'No-Go' regions. Under the classification, a ban was imposed on coal mining in No-Go zones. The new norms provide for 71 per cent of areas free for mining in the nine coalfields across the country which are located in the forest areas. The initial proposal was to free only 53 per cent.

Gold and silver touched new peak at the bullion market in Mumbai on strong global cues. Standard gold shot up by 135 rupees per 10 grams to finish at 21,225 rupees. Silver ready jumped by hefty 1,880 rupees per kilogram to 62,005. Speculative buying spree also triggered the hike.
