सरकार ने कहा है कि लोकपाल विधेयक का मसौदा 30 जून तक तैयार हो जाएगा। प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने कल कहा था कि यह विधेयक संसद के मानसून सत्र में पेश कर दिया जाएगा। विधि मंत्री तथा मसौदा समिति के सदस्य वीरप्पा मोइली ने सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं और राजनेताओं दोनों को ही इस मुद्दे पर बयानबाजी से बचने की सलाह दी है।

सरकार पूरे खुले मन से न केवल एक सशक्त विधेयक का प्रारूप तैयार करने के लिए वचनबद्ध है, बल्कि यह भी सुनिश्चित करना चाहती है कि अंतिम रूप से तैयार प्रारूप, 30 जून, 2011 से पहले बनकर तैयार जो जाए।
सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं के प्रतिनिधियों और सत्ताधारी पार्टी के सदस्यों द्वारा हाल के सीडी विवाद के बाद एक दूसरे पर आरोप - प्रत्यारोप लगाए जा रहे हैं। नई दिल्ली में श्री मोइली ने कहा कि इस मसले पर अलग अलग बयानबाजी करने की बजाए मसौदा तैयार करने पर ध्यान लगाया जाना चाहिए।

उधर, कांगे्रस के वरिष्ठ नेता और लोकपाल विधेयक मसौदा समिति के अध्यक्ष प्रणब मुखर्जी ने कहा है कि इस विधेयक का मसौदा तैयार करने के काम पर, कुछ सदस्यों को लेकर उठे विवादों के कारण असर नहीं पड़ेगा।

मैं यह बिल्कुल स्पष्ट कर देना चाहता हूॅं कि सरकार और साथ ही कांग्रेस पार्टी का स्पष्ट मानना है कि इन विवादों का प्रारूप समिति के कामकाज पर कोई असर नहीं पड़न्े वाला।
आज शाम नई दिल्ली में कांगे्रस की कोर समिति की बैठक के बाद श्री मुखर्जी ने आश्वासन दिया कि मसौदा समिति के सरकारी सदस्य अन्ना हजारे और उनके साथियों के साथ एक सशक्त लोकपाल विधेयक का मसौदा तैयार करेंगे।

नागर विमानन महा निदेशालय-डी जी सी ए पायलटों की भर्ती के लिए एक नई ऑन लाइन परीक्षा प्रणाली शुरू करेगा। नई दिल्ली में आज डी जी सी ए प्रमुख भारतभूषण ने कहा कि यह नई प्रणाली कंप्यूटरीकृत होगी। अभी इस नई प्रणाली की शुरूआत के लिए कोई समय सीमा तय नहीं की गई है।
हमने ऑनलाइन परीक्षा लागू की है। स्वयं मेरी अध्यक्षता में सरकारी स्तर पर एक विशेषज्ञ समिति का गठन किया गया है। जो परीक्षा प्रणाली में सुधार पर नजर रखेंगी। हम एक और आधुनिक सलेब्स तैयार कर रहे हैं। ताकि एक पुख्ता और संतोषजनक कोश्चनबैंक तैयार किया जा सके। जिसके आधार पर ऑनलाइन परीक्षा ली जा सके।
कुछ एयर लाइंस में जाली प्रमाणपत्रों के आधार पर कई पायलटों की भर्ती किए जाने के मामलों के सामने आने के बाद यह फैसला किया गया है। ऐसे कई पायलटों को नौकरी से निकाल दिया गया है और गिरफ्‌तार कर लिया गया है।

पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा चुनाव के कल दूसरे चरण के मतदान की सभी तैयारियां पूरी हो गयी हैं। इस चरण में नदिया, मुर्शिदाबाद और बीरभूम जिलों के पचास निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में वोट डाले जाएंगे। मतदान कर्मचारी अपने-अपने केन्द्रों पर चले गए हैं। 93 लाख 51 हजार से अधिक मतदाता दो सौ तिरानवे उम्मीदवारों के राजनीतिक भाग्य का फैसला करेंगे। इन तीनों जिलों में ग्यारह हजार पांच सौ 31 मतदान केंद्र बनाये गये हैं। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनाव के लिए सुरक्षा के अभूतपूर्व प्रबंध किए गए हैं।
स्वतंत्र निष्पक्ष और शांतिपूर्ण चुनाव के लिए सभी तीन जिलों में केंद्रीय बलों की 480 कंपनियों के अलावा राज्य पुलिस की 12 कंपनियां भी तैनात की गई है। सभी मतदान केंद्रों पर केंद्रीय बल तैनात है। संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में केंद्रीय अर्द्धसैनिक बल विशेष रूप से तैनात है। पश्चिम बंगाल की दूसरे राज्यों और बांग्लादेश से लगी सीमा पर चौकसी बढ़ा दी गई है। तीनों जिलों के करीब तीन हजार मतदान केंद्रों को संवेदनशील घोषित किया गया है। मतदान प्रक्रिया की वीडियोग्राफी कराई जाएगी। कोलकाता से अरजीत चक्रवर्ती।

आध्रप्रदेश में कड़प्पा लोकसभा और पुलीवेनदुला विधानसभा सीट पर उपचुनाव का प्रचार धीरे-धीरे तेजी पकड़ रहा है। कड़प्पा लोकसभा सीट पर कुल 42 उम्मीदवार चुनाव मैदान में हैं जबकि पुलिवेनदुला विधानसभा सीट से 25 उम्मीदवार अपना राजनीतिक भाग्य आजमा रहे हैं। इन दोनों ही सीटों के लिए आठ मई को वोट डाले जाएंगे।

विदेश मंत्री एस एम कृष्णा ने कहा है कि भारत, नेपाल के साथ अपने संबंधों को उच्च प्राथमिकता देता है और देता रहेगा। नेपाल की तीन की यात्रा के समापन पर श्री कृष्णा ने कहा कि उन्हें भारत-नेपाल संबंधों के महत्व और भारी संभावना के बारे में पूरा भरोसा है। हमारे संवाददाता ने खबर दी है कि विदेश मंत्री ने काठमांडू में राजनेताओं के साथ अपनी बातचीत को काफी उपयोगी बताया।
विदेश मंत्री ने नेपाल के तीन दिन भ्रमण में राष्ट्रपति, प्रधानमंत्री से भेंटवार्ता किया। सभी राजनैतिक दलों का नेताओं के साथ अलग भेंट किए। विेदश मंत्री के सबको बताया कि भारत के लिए नेपाल के संबंध सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है। श्री एस.एम.कृष्णा ने आश्वासन दिया कि भारत नेपाल की शांति बहाली और संविधान लिखित कार्य में हर संभव सहायता देने तैयार है। भारत विरोधी गतिविधि नकली नोट और कंपनियों का समस्याओं का बात भी उठाया। विदेश मंत्री ने फिर से भारत नेपाल के विकास और उन्नति के लिए कटिबद्वता दोहराया। नामचू आकाशवाणी समाचार के लिए काठमांड से।

केन्द्रीय वाणिज्य और उद्योगमंत्री आनंद शर्मा बंगलादेश की दो दिन की यात्रा पर कल ढाका पहुंच रहे हैं। श्री शर्मा के साथ 12 सदस्यों का एक उच्चस्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल और 20 सदस्यों वाला फिक्की का प्रतिनिधिमंडल भी बंगलादेश जा रहा है।

लीबिया में अमरीकी ड्रोन विमानों ने मिसराता तथा राजधानी त्रिपोली में कुछ संदिग्ध मिसाइल तैनाती स्थलों पर हमले किए हैं। इन हमलों से विद्रोहियों को फायदा हुआ है। इन ड्रोन हमलों के साथ ही मिसराता शहर में ऊंची इमारतों पर तैनात गद्दाफी के निशानेबाजों को खदेड़ने के लिए विद्रोहियों ने भी हमले शुरू किए, जिनके चलते चार सप्ताह से भी अधिक जारी लड़ाई में विद्राहियों को महत्वपूर्ण जगहों पर कब्जा करने में मदद मिली है।
लीबिया पर ड्रोन विमानों की तैनाती की घोषणा अमरीकी रक्षा मंत्री राबर्ट गेट्स ने की थी। अमरीकी अधिकारियों के अनुसार लीबियाई हवाई क्षेत्र में हर वक्त हैलफायर मिसाइलों से लैस कम से कम दो ड्रोन विमान मौजूद रहेंगे।

पाकिस्तान में उत्तर वजीरिस्तान के कबायली इलाके में एक अमरीकी ड्रोन हमले में 25 लोग मारे गये हैं। पाकिस्तानी अधिकारियों ने बताया कि प्रमुख कबायली कस्बे मीरानशाह के उत्तर-पश्चिम स्पिनवाम में स्थानीय उग्रवादी कमांडर हाफिज गुल बहादुर के समर्थकों के एक बड़े ठिकाने पर चार मिसाइलें दांगीं गईं। पास के एक मकान में पांच महिलाएं और चार बच्चे भी मारे गये। एक स्थानीय खुफिया अधिकारी के अनुसार इस हमले में कई लोग घायल भी हुए हैं।

यमन के राष्ट्रपति अली अब्दुल्लाह सालेह ने देश की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए खाड़ी सहयोग परिषद के प्रस्तावों का स्वागत किया है। राजधानी सना में आज अपने समर्थकों से उन्होंने कहा कि देश के संविधान को ध्यान में रखते हुए इन प्रस्तावों पर विचार किया जाएगा।
इस बीच, राष्ट्रपति के विरोधियों और समर्थकों ने शुक्रवार की नमाज के बाद देशभर में कई शहरों और कस्बों में रैलियां निकालीं।

सीरिया से मिली खबरों के अनुसार देश के कुछ हिस्सों में सरकार विरोधी प्रदर्शन हुए हैं। अपुष्ट खबरों के अनुसार सीरियाई सेनाओं ने दमिश्क उपनगर में लोकतंत्र समर्थक प्रदर्शनकारियों को तितर-बितर करने के लिए आंसू गैस के गोले छोड़े। सीरिया के राष्ट्रपति ने पिछले पचास साल से भी अधिक समय से लागू आपातकाल की समाप्ति की कल पुष्टि की थी। राष्ट्रपति अल असद ने सुप्रीम स्टेट सिक्युरिटी कोर्ट को भंग करने के लिए विधायी आदेश भी जारी किया।

दुनियाभर में सोना और चांदी के दाम लगातार बढ़ते जा रहे हैं। हमारे संवाददाता ने बताया है कि दिल्ली के सर्राफा बाजार में भी आज सोना और चांदी मंहगे होकर अब तक के सर्वोच्च स्तर पर पहुंच गए।

दिल्ली में सोने का मूल्य आज तीस रूपये बढ़कर 22 हजार 90 रूपये प्रति दस ग्राम की रिकार्ड ऊंचाई पर पहुंचा, जबकि एक किलोग्राम चांदी का मूल्य एक हजार चार सौ रूपये बढ़कर 70 हजार रूपये के अब तक के सबसे ऊंचे स्तर पर जा पहुंचा है। विदेशी बाजारों में एक औंस सोने का मूल्य एक हजार 512 डालर से भी ज्यादा हो गया है। जो अब तक का रिकार्ड है। डालर के कमजोर होने और कई देशों की राजनीतिक अस्थिरता और मुद्रास्फीति की चिंता ने सोना मंहगा किया है। चांदी का मूल्य 46 डालर 69 सेंट प्रति औंस तक पहुंच गया है। इस वर्ष चांदी 51 प्रतिशत तक मंहगी हुई है, जबकि सोना छह प्रतिशत बढ़ा है। आकाशवाणी समाचार के लिए कृष्ण कुमार भार्गव।

केंद्र के ग्यारह खस्ताहाल रहे उपक्रमों ने पिछले लगातार तीन साल से मुनाफा दर्ज किया है। इन उद्यमों की कायापलट के बारे में नई दिल्ली में एक पुस्तक का विमोचन करते हुए सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र उपक्रम पुनर्निर्माण बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष नीतिश सेन गुप्ता ने बताया कि इनकी खराब हालत के अलग अलग कारण थे। वित्तीय अनुशासन का पालन करने से इनकी हालत एकदम बदल गयी।

बुधवार को धु्रवीय उपग्रह प्रक्षेपण यान- पीएसएलवी द्वारा कक्षा में स्थापित तीनों उपग्रह संतोषजनक ढ़ंग से काम कर रहे हैं। विक्रम साराभाई अंतरिक्ष केन्द्र के निदेशक पी एस वीरराघवन ने आकाशवाणी को बताया कि तीनों उपग्रह ठीक हैं और सभी आरंभिक क्रियाएं पूरी हो चुकी हैं।

सरकार ने परमवीर चक्र और अशोक चक्र जैसे वीरता पुरस्कारों के भत्ते तिगुने कर दिये हैं। रक्षा मंत्रालय के एक आदेश के अनुसार परमवीर चक्र विजेता को अब दस हजार रूपये महीना दिये जायेंगे, पहले उसे तीन हजार रूपये महीना मिलता था। महावीर चक्र विजेता को अब पांच हजार रूपये महीना और वीरचक्र विजेता को साढे तीन हजार रूपया महीना मिलेगा।
पिछली बार ये भत्ते 2008 में बढ़ाये गये थे। अशोक चक्र विजेता को अब दो हजार आठ सौ रूपये के बजाय छह हजार रूपये महीना मिलेगा। कीर्ति चक्र के लिए भत्ते की राशि साढे चार हजार रूपये और शौर्य चक्र के लिए तीन हजार रूपये कर दी गयी है। सेना, नौसेना और वायुसेना पदक जीतने वालों को एक हजार रूपये महीना भत्ता दिया जायेगा।

श्री सत्य सांईबाबा की हालत नाजुक बनी हुई है। सत्य सांई इंस्टीटयूट आफ हायर मेडिकल साइंसेज के निदेशक डाक्टर ए एन सफाया ने आज शाम जारी स्वास्थ्य बुलेटिन में कहा कि उनकी हालत सुबह जैसी ही गंभीर है। उनकी हृदयगति और रक्तचाप पिछले 12 घंटों से स्थिर बना हुआ है।
डाक्टर सफाया ने कहा कि वेंटिलेटर की मदद से बाबा सांस ले रहे हैं जबकि डायलिसिस से उनकी किडनियों को काम करने में मदद दी जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी सेहत में सुधार के लिए लगातार प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।

The Government today said that the draft of the Lokpal bill will be prepared by 30th of June. Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh yesterday said that the bill will be introduced in the monsoon session of Parliament. Law Minister and member of the drafting committee Mr Veerappa Moily called upon both the social activists and the political leaders to refrain from making statements and counter statements on the issue. Mr. Moily emphasized that instead of getting emotional, the focus should be on the preparation of the draft legislation.

Senior Congress leader and Chairman of the Lokpal Bill drafting committee, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee has said that the working of Lokpal Bill drafting panel will not be affected by controversies over some members. Following the meeting of Congress core committee in New Delhi this evening, Mr. Mukherjee assured that the Committee's government members will work with Anna Hazare and colleagues to draft a strong Lokpal bill.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation, DGCA will introduce a new system of examination for recruiting pilots. Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, DGCA Chief Bharat Bhusan said that the new system will be modernized and computerized. However, no time frame has been given for putting the new system in place.

The decision comes in the wake of incidents of several pilots having fake certificates recruited in several airlines coming to the fore.

In West Bengal,The stage is set for the second phase of Assembly Elections in the State tomorrow. The polling will take place in 50 seats covering Murshidabad, Nadia and Birbhum districts. The External Affairs Minister says relations with Nepal will be the highest priority for India. Concluding his three day visit to Nepal, Mr. S. M Krishna said he is convinced of the significance and the great potential of India- Nepal relations.

During the tree day visit to Nepal, the external Affairs Minister met with the President, Prime Minister and held a series of meetings with political leaders cutting across party lines. As Nepal passes through a transition phase, Mr. Krishna conveyed to all that Nepal continues to be the highest priority for India and is committed to the development and peace process of it neighbour. During the delegation talks the Minister raised the problems that Indian Joint venture companies are facing in Nepal, the issue of security, fake currency and other issues. In Libya, US drones carried out a number of strikes in Misrata as well as on suspected missile sites in capital Tripoli giving tactical advantage to the rebels. As the drones are reported to have stuck with precision at Coul. Gaddafi's snipers perched on tall buildings in the strife-torn city Misrata, Rebels launched attacks to drive them out gaining vital ground in the town. The announcement of deployment of armed drones over Libya was made by Defence Secretary Robert Gates.

Reports from Syria say that anti government demonstration have been held in some parts of the country. Unconfirmed reports say that Syrian forces fired teargas to disperse a pro-democracy protest in Damascus suburb. Yesterday, Syria's President ratified the end of more than 50 year old emergency in the country. Protest leaders have said that lifting the state of emergency would not be enough, and have demanded an end to the Baath party's stranglehold on Syrian politics.

In Afghanistan, a roadside bomb blast has killed at least four border police officers in the south of the country. The attack took place in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province yesterday. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

In Pakistan, at least 25 people have been killed in a US drone strike in the troubled tribal region of North Waziristan. Pakistani officials said four missiles were fired on a large compound occupied by supporters of local militant commander Hafiz Gul Bahadur, in Spinwam, north-east of the tribal region's main town of Miranshah. Five women and four children in a nearby house were also killed. A local intelligence official said several people were wounded in the attack. Today's strike comes a day after Pakistani army chief, Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, told the US military's top officer, Adm Mike Mullen, that drone strikes complicated Pakistan's national war against the militants. It also comes amid a deepening rift between the US and Pakistan.

The President of Pakistan's Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan today urged India and Pakistan to sit together to resolve their differences. Mr Khan who is grand son of frontier Gandhi Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan was delivering Khan Abdul Gffar Kahn Memorial lecture in New Delhi today. He said that Pakistan can not solve the problem of terrorism and extremism in isolation.
