उच्चतम न्यायालय ने मानवाधिकार कार्यकर्ता बिनायक सेन को जमानत देते हुए कहा है कि वे देशद्रोह के दोषी नहीं हैं। छत्तीसगढ़ की एक अदालत ने शासन से लड़ने का नेटवर्क स्थापित करने में नक्सलियों की मदद करने और देशद्रोह के आरोप में डॉक्टर बिनायक सेन को आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई थी। उसके बाद छत्तीसगढ़ उच्च न्यायालय ने उनकी जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी थी। उच्चतम न्यायालय में न्यायमूर्ति एच.एस.बेदी और न्यायमूर्ति सी.के प्रसाद की खंड पीठ ने आज अपने आदेश में डॉक्टर सेन को जमानत देने का कोई कारण नहीं बताया और जमानत की शर्तें तय करने की जिम्मेदारी सम्बद्ध अदालत को सौंप दी। उच्चतम न्यायालय की खंड पीठ ने कहा कि भारत एक लोकतांत्रिक देश है और हो सकता है कि डॉक्टर सेन को नक्सलियों से सहानुभूति हो, लेकिन इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि वे देशद्रोह के दोषी हैं।
सरकार ने सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता बिनायक सेन की जमानत मंजूर करने के उच्चतम न्यायालय के फैसले का स्वागत किया है। केंद्रीय कानून मंत्री एम.वीरप्पा मोइली ने कहा है कि देशद्रोह जैसे कानून पर फिर से विचार करने की जरूरत है।

देश द्रोह एक गंभीर विषय है जिसपर विचार किये जाने की जरूरत है। किसी भी व्यक्ति को तबतक न तो फांसी दी जा सकती है और न कोई सजा दी जा सकती है। जबतक मामले की पूरी तरह से निष्पक्ष जांच न हो जाये, अगर
कोई कानून संवैधानिक आकांक्षाओं के अनुरूप नहीं है तो इस तरह के कानूनों में संशोधन या पुनर्विचार की जरूरत है।
ृगृहमंत्री पी.चिदंबरम ने कहा है कि उनका हमेशा से यह यकीन रहा है कि अगर कोई व्यक्ति निचली अदालत के फैसले से संतुष्ट नहीं है तो वह उच्चतर न्यायालय के पास जाकर राहत पा सकता है।
छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री रमन सिंह ने कहा है कि उनकी सरकार बिनायक सेन को जमानत देने के उच्चतम न्यायालय के फैसले का सम्मान करती है।
श्री सिंह ने कहा कि उच्चतम न्यायालय ने सिर्फ उनकी जमानत मंजूर की है और बकाया कानूनी कार्रवाई बिलासपुर उच्च न्यायालय में जारी रहेगी। बिनायक सेन के वकील राम जेठमलानी ने कहा है कि यह फैसला अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता के अधिकार की पुष्टि करता है।
सरकार ने कहा है कि देश के परमाणु संयंत्रों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए हरसंभव कदम उठाए जाएंगे। हमारे संवाददाता ने सरकारी सूत्रों के हवाले से खबर दी है कि परमाणु ऊर्जा विभाग ने परमाणु संयंत्रों की सुरक्षा के विभिन्न पहलुओं के अध्ययन के लिए चार समूह बनाए हैं। सुरक्षा उपायों में प्राकृतिक और मानव निर्मित आपदाओं से रक्षा के उपाय शामिल होंगे। सूत्रों ने बताया कि सरकार संसद के मॉनसून सत्र में परमाणु ऊर्जा नियमन बोर्ड को मजबूत बनाने के लिए एक विधेयक लाने के प्रस्ताव पर विचार कर रही है।
केंद्रीय पर्यावरण और वन मंत्री जयराम रमेश ने कहा है कि महाराष्ट्र के रत्नागिरि जिले के जैतापुर में सभी बाधाओं के बावजूद प्रस्तावित नौ हजार नौ सौ मेगावाट की परमाणु बिजली परियोजना लगाई जाएगी। आज मुंबई में उन्होंने कहा कि विपक्ष कुछ भी कहे सरकार जैतापुर परमाणु बिजलीघर के मामले में पीछे नहीं हटेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि पर्यावरण और सुरक्षा संबंधी सभी मानकों को ध्यान में रखा जाएगा। यह पूछे जाने पर कि क्या वो ओड़ीशा के पॉस्को जैसे इस परियोजना के बारे में भी गांववालों के विरोध पर गौर करेंगे, श्री रमेश ने कहा कि उन्हें रत्नागिरि के लोगों से कोई ज्ञापन नहीं मिला है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह मामला पर्यावरण और वन मंत्रालय के कार्यक्षेत्र में नहीं आता, इसलिए गांव वालों का विरोध उनके लिए बाध्यकारी नहीं होगा।

उच्च पदस्थ सूत्रों ने बताया कि कज+ाकिस्तान भारत को और अधिक यूरेनियम उपलब्ध कराएगा। इसके अलावा भारत हाइड्रो कार्बन क्षेत्र में भी भागीदारी के साथ-साथ मध्य एशिया के प्रवेश द्वार कजाकिस्तान के साथ अपने राजनीतिक संबंधों को मजबूत बनाने का पक्षधर है।

मुम्बई शेयर बाजार के सेंसेक्स में आज ३१० अंकों की गिरावट आई। मार्च में मुद्रास्फीति के आंकड़े में वृद्धि और आई टी कंपनियों के शेयरों में भारी बिकवाली के चलते बाजार में ये गिरावट आई। निफ्टी आज ८७ अंक फिसलकर ५ हजार ८२५ पर आ गया।

लोकपाल विधेयक का मसौदा तैयार करने के लिए दस सदस्यों वाली संयुक्त समिति की बैठक कल नई दिल्ली में होगी। समिति के सदस्य और अल्पसंख्यक मामलों के मंत्री सलमान खुर्शीद ने नई दिल्ली में बताया कि विधेयक के बारे में सरकार खुले मन से विचार करेगी।

सीबीआई ने आज विशेष अदालत में टू जी स्पैक्ट्रम घोटाले में कथित भूमिका के लिए आरोपित बड़ी कंपनियों के पांच अधिकारियों की हिरासत की मांग की। सीबीआई का कहना है कि ये अधिकारी मुकदमे से बचने के लिए फरार हो सकते हैं। उनकी जमानत याचिकाओं का विरोध करते हुए सीबीआई ने कहा कि कॉरपोरेट जगत के कुछ मुख्य गवाह इन अधिकारियों के अधीन काम कर चुके हैं और इस संभावना से इंकार नहीं किया जा सकता कि ये अभियुक्त उन्हें प्रभावित करने की कोशिश करें। ये प्रमुख कॉरपोरेट अधिकारी हैं-स्वान टेलीकॉम के निदेशक विनोद गोयनका, यूनिटैक वायरलैस लिमिटेड के प्रबंध निदेशक संजय चन्द्रा और रिलायंस अनिल धीरूभाई अंबानी ग्रुप के तीन वरिष्ठ अधिकारी-गौतम दोषी, सुरेन्द्र पिपारा और हरि नायर इनका नाम भी सीबीआई की ८० हजार पृष्ठों के पहले आरोप पत्र में है।

मुंबई के एक सत्र न्यायालय ने आज कोलकाता के व्यापारी और हवाला मामले के आरोपी हसनअली खान के सहयोगी काशीनाथ तापूरिया की न्यायिक हिरासत २९ अप्रैल तक बढ़ा दी है।

The Supreme Court today granted bail to rights activist Binayak Sen, saying he is not guilty of sedition. Sen had been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by a Chhattisgarh trial court for sedition and helping Naxalites to set up a network to fight the State. The apex court said it was giving no reason for granting bail to 61-year-old Sen and left it to the satisfaction of the trial court concerned to impose the conditions for his release on bail. Welcoming the decision, Law Minister M Veerappa Moily said there is a need to revisit laws like sedition. He said, if any law is not in conformity with constitutional aspirations, there is a need to re-look or propose amendments to such enactments.
Dubbing sedition laws as outdated, Moily said, he would soon consult Home Minister P Chidambaram and after he agrees, the matter could be referred to the Law Commission to study whether there was need for change in sedition laws. Mr. Chidambaram in his reaction said, he always believed that if somebody is not satisfied with a lower court order, one can get reprieve by approaching a higher court. Binayak Sen's lawyer Ram Jethmalani said, the verdict is an endorsement of the right to freedom of speech as a principle of democracy.

The BJP has said it respected the Supreme Court decision granting bail to rights activist Binayak Sen but maintained that the case is still on in the Chhattisgarh High Court and the party hopes the trial will be held on merit. BJP Chief spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad expressed the hope that trial in the high court would be just and based on merits of the case.
India is going all out to ensure full proof security for its existing and new nuclear reactors. Authoritative sources said in Kazakh capital Astana that nuclear safety apparatus is being over hauled. Sources said that government is planning to bring two legislations in the coming monsoon session in this regard. One is about the nuclear safety on radioactive sources and second on Atomic energy Regulatory Board amendment to strengthen the regulatory regime.
The Environment and Forests Minister Jairam Ramesh has said that the 9,900 MW Jaitapur Nuclear Power Project in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra will be implemented despite all hurdles. He has suggested that security systems of all the six reactors at the project should not be interlinked to avoid a situation like the recent nuclear disaster in Japan. In Manipur, seven Manipur Rifles personnel were killed this afternoon when the security convoy of MLA Wungnaoshang Keishing was ambushed by unknown miscreants at Rihang under Litan Police Station in Ukhrul District. Police sources said, the seven personnel of the Manipur Rifles died in the incident and some injured personnel have been hospitalized in Imphal. Additional police force have been sent to the spot and search operation is going on to trace the culprits with the reinforcement.
The Government today said, it has an open mind on the Lokpal Bill. The 10-member Joint Committee will hold its first meeting tomorrow to draft the Lokpal Bill. The Supreme Court today sought CBI's response on dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwars' petition challenging a special judge's orders summoning them as accused and issuing bailable warrants in the case relating to the murder of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj. Additional Solicitor General P P Malhotra, appearing for The CBI, assured a bench of justices B Sudershan Reddy and S S Nijjar that the agency would file its response within a week. Upon the assurance, the bench posted the matter for further hearing to April 25.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said his Government would examine the letter by Union Minister for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh asking for strict adherence to Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006 in the proposed project site of POSCO steel plant in Jagatsinghpur district. He said the Forest and Environment Department of Odisha has received the letter of Mr. Ramesh and appropriate action would be taken on it. The Supreme Court-appointed Central Empowered Committee (CEC) today said that large-scale illegal mining is on in Karnataka particularly in Bellary district in connivance with officials and public representatives. Special forest bench headed by Chief Justice S H Kapadia issued notice to the Karnataka government and sought its response on various findings in the CEC's interim report. This includes export of 304.91 lakh metric tonnes of iron ore without valid permit between 2003 to 2009-10.
The Andhra Pradesh government today told the Supreme Court that it would be agreeable to a CBI inquiry into the killing of top Naxalite leader Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad and journalist Hemchandra Pandey by state police in a gunbattle in July last year. A bench of justices Aftab Alam and R M Lodha, while taking on record the submission made by senior counsel Harish Salve on behalf of the state government, adjourned the matter till Monday for passing appropriate orders.

उच्चतम न्यायालय ने मानवाधिकार कार्यकर्ता बिनायक सेन को जमानत देते हुए कहा है कि वे देशद्रोह के दोषी नहीं हैं। छत्तीसगढ़ की एक अदालत ने शासन से लड़ने का नेटवर्क स्थापित करने में नक्सलियों की मदद करने और देशद्रोह के आरोप में डॉक्टर बिनायक सेन को आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई थी। उसके बाद छत्तीसगढ़ उच्च न्यायालय ने उनकी जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी थी। उच्चतम न्यायालय में न्यायमूर्ति एच.एस.बेदी और न्यायमूर्ति सी.के प्रसाद की खंड पीठ ने आज अपने आदेश में डॉक्टर सेन को जमानत देने का कोई कारण नहीं बताया और जमानत की शर्तें तय करने की जिम्मेदारी सम्बद्ध अदालत को सौंप दी। उच्चतम न्यायालय की खंड पीठ ने कहा कि भारत एक लोकतांत्रिक देश है और हो सकता है कि डॉक्टर सेन को नक्सलियों से सहानुभूति हो, लेकिन इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि वे देशद्रोह के दोषी हैं।
सरकार ने सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता बिनायक सेन की जमानत मंजूर करने के उच्चतम न्यायालय के फैसले का स्वागत किया है। केंद्रीय कानून मंत्री एम.वीरप्पा मोइली ने कहा है कि देशद्रोह जैसे कानून पर फिर से विचार करने की जरूरत है।

देश द्रोह एक गंभीर विषय है जिसपर विचार किये जाने की जरूरत है। किसी भी व्यक्ति को तबतक न तो फांसी दी जा सकती है और न कोई सजा दी जा सकती है। जबतक मामले की पूरी तरह से निष्पक्ष जांच न हो जाये, अगर
कोई कानून संवैधानिक आकांक्षाओं के अनुरूप नहीं है तो इस तरह के कानूनों में संशोधन या पुनर्विचार की जरूरत है।
ृगृहमंत्री पी.चिदंबरम ने कहा है कि उनका हमेशा से यह यकीन रहा है कि अगर कोई व्यक्ति निचली अदालत के फैसले से संतुष्ट नहीं है तो वह उच्चतर न्यायालय के पास जाकर राहत पा सकता है।
छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री रमन सिंह ने कहा है कि उनकी सरकार बिनायक सेन को जमानत देने के उच्चतम न्यायालय के फैसले का सम्मान करती है।
श्री सिंह ने कहा कि उच्चतम न्यायालय ने सिर्फ उनकी जमानत मंजूर की है और बकाया कानूनी कार्रवाई बिलासपुर उच्च न्यायालय में जारी रहेगी। बिनायक सेन के वकील राम जेठमलानी ने कहा है कि यह फैसला अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता के अधिकार की पुष्टि करता है।
सरकार ने कहा है कि देश के परमाणु संयंत्रों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए हरसंभव कदम उठाए जाएंगे। हमारे संवाददाता ने सरकारी सूत्रों के हवाले से खबर दी है कि परमाणु ऊर्जा विभाग ने परमाणु संयंत्रों की सुरक्षा के विभिन्न पहलुओं के अध्ययन के लिए चार समूह बनाए हैं। सुरक्षा उपायों में प्राकृतिक और मानव निर्मित आपदाओं से रक्षा के उपाय शामिल होंगे। सूत्रों ने बताया कि सरकार संसद के मॉनसून सत्र में परमाणु ऊर्जा नियमन बोर्ड को मजबूत बनाने के लिए एक विधेयक लाने के प्रस्ताव पर विचार कर रही है।
केंद्रीय पर्यावरण और वन मंत्री जयराम रमेश ने कहा है कि महाराष्ट्र के रत्नागिरि जिले के जैतापुर में सभी बाधाओं के बावजूद प्रस्तावित नौ हजार नौ सौ मेगावाट की परमाणु बिजली परियोजना लगाई जाएगी। आज मुंबई में उन्होंने कहा कि विपक्ष कुछ भी कहे सरकार जैतापुर परमाणु बिजलीघर के मामले में पीछे नहीं हटेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि पर्यावरण और सुरक्षा संबंधी सभी मानकों को ध्यान में रखा जाएगा। यह पूछे जाने पर कि क्या वो ओड़ीशा के पॉस्को जैसे इस परियोजना के बारे में भी गांववालों के विरोध पर गौर करेंगे, श्री रमेश ने कहा कि उन्हें रत्नागिरि के लोगों से कोई ज्ञापन नहीं मिला है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह मामला पर्यावरण और वन मंत्रालय के कार्यक्षेत्र में नहीं आता, इसलिए गांव वालों का विरोध उनके लिए बाध्यकारी नहीं होगा।

मणिपुर में मणिपुर राइफल्स के सात सुरक्षाकर्मी उस समय मारे गए, जब विधायक वुंगनाओशांग कीशिंग के सुरक्षा दस्ते को उखरूल जिले में लिटान थाने के अंतर्गत रिहांग में कुछ अज्ञात लोगों ने घात लगाकर हमला किया। पुलिस सूत्रों ने बताया कि इस घटना में कुछ लोग घायल हुए हैं, जिन्हें इम्फाल के अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है। मौके पर अतिरिक्त पुलिस बल भेजा गया है और अपराधियों की तलाश जारी है।

पाकिस्तान ने आज भारत के ८९ मछुआरों को अटारी-वाघा सीमा के रास्ते भारत भेज दिया। ये सभी मछुआरे गुजरात के हैं, जो अपनी नौकाओं से मछली पकड़ते समय गलती से भटककर पाकिस्तानी जलसीमा में चले गए थे। भारत में प्रवेश के बाद इन लोगों ने कहा कि अभी भी कुछ और मछुआरे पाकिस्तानी जेलों में बंद हैं। हाल में दोनों देशों के बीच हुई गृहसचिव स्तर की वार्ता के बाद दोनों देशों द्वारा इस तरह के कदम उठाए गए हैं। भारत ने ११ अप्रैल को पाकिस्तान के ३९ कैदियों को छोड़ा था।
लोकपाल विधेयक का मसौदा तैयार करने के लिए दस सदस्यों वाली संयुक्त समिति की बैठक कल नई दिल्ली में होगी। समिति के सदस्य और अल्पसंख्यक मामलों के मंत्री सलमान खुर्शीद ने नई दिल्ली में बताया कि विधेयक के बारे में सरकार खुले मन से विचार करेगी।

सीबीआई ने आज विशेष अदालत में टू जी स्पैक्ट्रम घोटाले में कथित भूमिका के लिए आरोपित बड़ी कंपनियों के पांच अधिकारियों की हिरासत की मांग की। सीबीआई का कहना है कि ये अधिकारी मुकदमे से बचने के लिए फरार हो सकते हैं। उनकी जमानत याचिकाओं का विरोध करते हुए सीबीआई ने कहा कि कॉरपोरेट जगत के कुछ मुख्य गवाह इन अधिकारियों के अधीन काम कर चुके हैं और इस संभावना से इंकार नहीं किया जा सकता कि ये अभियुक्त उन्हें प्रभावित करने की कोशिश करें। ये प्रमुख कॉरपोरेट अधिकारी हैं-स्वान टेलीकॉम के निदेशक विनोद गोयनका, यूनिटैक वायरलैस लिमिटेड के प्रबंध निदेशक संजय चन्द्रा और रिलायंस अनिल धीरूभाई अंबानी ग्रुप के तीन वरिष्ठ अधिकारी-गौतम दोषी, सुरेन्द्र पिपारा और हरि नायर इनका नाम भी सीबीआई की ८० हजार पृष्ठों के पहले आरोप पत्र में है।

The Supreme Court today granted bail to rights activist Binayak Sen, saying he is not guilty of sedition. Sen had been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by a Chhattisgarh trial court for sedition and helping Naxalites to set up a network to fight the State. The apex court said it was giving no reason for granting bail to 61-year-old Sen and left it to the satisfaction of the trial court concerned to impose the conditions for his release on bail. Welcoming the decision, Law Minister M Veerappa Moily said there is a need to revisit laws like sedition. He said, if any law is not in conformity with constitutional aspirations, there is a need to re-look or propose amendments to such enactments.
Dubbing sedition laws as outdated, Moily said, he would soon consult Home Minister P Chidambaram and after he agrees, the matter could be referred to the Law Commission to study whether there was need for change in sedition laws. Mr. Chidambaram in his reaction said, he always believed that if somebody is not satisfied with a lower court order, one can get reprieve by approaching a higher court. Binayak Sen's lawyer Ram Jethmalani said, the verdict is an endorsement of the right to freedom of speech as a principle of democracy.

The BJP has said it respected the Supreme Court decision granting bail to rights activist Binayak Sen but maintained that the case is still on in the Chhattisgarh High Court and the party hopes the trial will be held on merit. BJP Chief spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad expressed the hope that trial in the high court would be just and based on merits of the case.
India is going all out to ensure full proof security for its existing and new nuclear reactors. Authoritative sources said in Kazakh capital Astana that nuclear safety apparatus is being over hauled. Sources said that government is planning to bring two legislations in the coming monsoon session in this regard. One is about the nuclear safety on radioactive sources and second on Atomic energy Regulatory Board amendment to strengthen the regulatory regime.
The Environment and Forests Minister Jairam Ramesh has said that the 9,900 MW Jaitapur Nuclear Power Project in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra will be implemented despite all hurdles. He has suggested that security systems of all the six reactors at the project should not be interlinked to avoid a situation like the recent nuclear disaster in Japan. Regarding the coastal road project Maharashtra has not got permission yet but a committee would be set up to conduct a technical study of coastal roads . The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh arrived in Astana this evening on a two-day official visit to Kazakhstan. He is accompanied by a high level delegation including the National Security Advisor and officials from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Dr. Singh will have bilateral talks with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev tomorrow. Dr Singh will also hold talks with his Kazakh counterpart Karim Massimov on several issues including civil nuclear cooperation, Agriculture and enhancement in trade that Six pacts are likely to be signed during the visit. Our correspondent covering the Prime Minister visit reports that Kazakhstan is keen to seek small Indian nuclear reactors to produce more atomic energy.

In Manipur, seven Manipur Rifles personnel were killed this afternoon when the security convoy of MLA Wungnaoshang Keishing was ambushed by unknown miscreants at Rihang under Litan Police Station in Ukhrul District. Police sources said, the seven personnel of the Manipur Rifles died in the incident and some injured personnel have been hospitalized in Imphal. Additional police force have been sent to the spot and search operation is going on to trace the culprits with the reinforcement.
The Government today said, it has an open mind on the Lokpal Bill. The 10-member Joint Committee will hold its first meeting tomorrow to draft the Lokpal Bill. Minority Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, who is on the panel, told reporters in New Delhi that the government, civil society and common people - all have one target that there should be greater transparency and responsibilities should be clearly fixed in the bill. The Supreme Court today sought CBI's response on dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwars' petition challenging a special judge's orders summoning them as accused and issuing bailable warrants in the case relating to the murder of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj. Additional Solicitor General P P Malhotra, appearing for The CBI, assured a bench of justices B Sudershan Reddy and S S Nijjar that the agency would file its response within a week. Upon the assurance, the bench posted the matter for further hearing to April 25.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said his Government would examine the letter by Union Minister for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh asking for strict adherence to Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006 in the proposed project site of POSCO steel plant in Jagatsinghpur district. He said the Forest and Environment Department of Odisha has received the letter of Mr. Ramesh and appropriate action would be taken on it. The Supreme Court-appointed Central Empowered Committee (CEC) today said that large-scale illegal mining is on in Karnataka particularly in Bellary district in connivance with officials and public representatives. Special forest bench headed by Chief Justice S H Kapadia issued notice to the Karnataka government and sought its response on various findings in the CEC's interim report. This includes export of 304.91 lakh metric tonnes of iron ore without valid permit between 2003 to 2009-10.
The Andhra Pradesh government today told the Supreme Court that it would be agreeable to a CBI inquiry into the killing of top Naxalite leader Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad and journalist Hemchandra Pandey by state police in a gunbattle in July last year. A bench of justices Aftab Alam and R M Lodha, while taking on record the submission made by senior counsel Harish Salve on behalf of the state government, adjourned the matter till Monday for passing appropriate orders.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Katulu Ravi Kumar has won three bronze medals at the Senior Asian Weightlifting Championships at Tongling City in China. Ravi Kumar lifted 139kg in snatch and 167kg in clean and jerk to fetch two bronze medals today. His total lift of 306kg gave him another bronze in 69kg category. With the three bronze from Ravi Kumar today, India's medal tally has risen to eight.
