विवरण	The aim of the scheme is to enable Scheduled Caste widows, girls, and destitute women for self-employment. A stipend of Rs. 100 per month, and raw material amounting to Rs.50 per month, per trainee is given to a trainee for getting training from the nearest Kalyan Kendra, run by this Department. After completion a year of this course, each widow, girl, or destitute woman is given a new sewing machine to earn her livelihood. The Department has trained 34,460 Scheduled Caste widows, destitute women, and girls upto the year 2003-2004, and 1,740 trainees are likely to be benefitted during 2005-06. Hence, an amount of Rs. 30.00 lakhs is proposed for the year 2005-06.
